Bill Ayers out of the woodwork and declares Obama “Family Friend”

News of the last two days is splashed with a terrorist….I am not referring to Bin Laden, but Bill Ayers.  You know the radical, domestic terrorist who planned and carried out bombings on the Pentagon, Capitol, and police stations.

He is the one that Barack Obama declared as “just someone who lives in my neighborhood”.  Well, Ayers is out of the woodwork now that the election is over and he has a different version of that story to tell.  He is re-releasing his book, “Fugitive Days” which includes a NEW afterword saying that Obama is a “family friend.” He was on Good Morning America today trying claim people were exploiting the “politics of fear” as well. From FoxNews:

“This idea that we need to know more, like there’s some dark, hidden secret, some secret link — it’s just a myth. And it’s a myth thrown up by people who want to kind of exploit the politics of fear,” he said.

Ayers, now an education professor at the University of Illinois-Chicago, said he doesn’t believe that “guilt-by-association should be any part of our politics.”

But Ayers says in a new afterword to his memoir that he and Obama were neighbors and “family friends.”

Ayers’ reflections appear in a new paperback release of his 2001 memoir, “Fugitive Days.”

Politics of Fear?  Good lord …this coming from the guy who used fear to subvert and tear down his own government in the name of “Peace”…what an arrogant S-O-B.

Ayers tries to paint he and Obama as victims, but the facts are Obama’s judgment IS less than stellar to have actively chosen to work with and befriend a man like Ayers.

Victims they are not!  There is documentation, and Ayers own statements, that points to the fact that the work they did togetherwas focused on “indoctrination through education” in an effort to force “social transformation” through “resistance” of an “oppressive” American system.

And let’s not forget the Weather Underground and their stated plans to kill millions more if they could get that far in their radical take down of America.

Ayers is an arrogant, wealthy, criminal, radical who hates America and our next President is his good “family friend”.

And lets not forget the hypocrisy of criminal Ayers…. As a known and committed Socialist, Ayers is now riding the profitable coattails of his “family friend” Barack Obama with a new release of his memoirs and all that capitalism that goes with promoting and selling it!
I guess Capitalism is OK when it benefits Ayers….laughable.

Another blogger is just wondering how you Lefties and Uniters feel about being duped by your 52% Presidential choice.  Obama, his campaign, and his supporters have shouted for weeks that Obama was not a friend of Ayers and there is nothing to the story….From Confederate Yankee:

Dear 52,

It seems the man you entrusted with your vote lied about his relationship with domestic terrorist and attempted mass murderer Bill Ayers.

Many of you either didn’t hear about Ayers, or accepted Obama’s evolving explanations that Ayers was “just a guy in his neighborhood,” or someone that he thought had gone through some sort of terrorist rehabilitation—perhaps at the Yasser Arafat wing of the Betty Ford Clinic.

But now that Ayers has come out and admitted that their relationship is very close—”family friends” is how he put it—how does that make you feel?

I ask, becuase as Malcolm once explained, you’ve been hoodwinked. You’ve been had. You’ve been took. You’ve been led astray, led amok. You’ve been bamboozled.

You’ve been conned in to voting the family friend of a known terrorist into the White House.

How does that make you feel?

And, of course, we know that your “feelings” trump reality don’t we?  But just think about that….how many Presidents have we had, until now of course, who befriended, accepted campaign money and parties from, and chose to work closely with a guilty, unrepentant, America-hating terrorist?   Yes, history was made in this election all right…

Lesson #3: Obama believes HIS words mean more than HIS actions

We have heard Obama words about change, hope, respecting 2nd Amendment, etc. etc…..only to see his actions tell us a very different thing… example (one of many): Obama’s “heartfelt” words on his protection for the middle class and respect of middle America…of course, that all took a back seat when he decided to visit an elitist group in San Francisco and proceeded to tell them that those very same people he wants to protect and respect are “bitter and clinging to their guns and religion”….some respect!

The latest, and perhaps, one of the more alarming examples involves Hamas and Obama’s words about Hamas.

A crash course on the terrorist group that is Hamas from Pajamas Media:

Hamas was founded in December 1987 by Sheikh Ahmed Yassin — killed seventeen years later in an Israeli raid — and is the Palestinian branch of the Egyptian-based Muslim Brotherhood. Already in 1988 Hamas began shooting, stabbing, and stoning Israelis to death (incidents are proudly listed in the organization’s “Glory Record,” a popular document on anti-Israeli websites).

That year Hamas also promulgated its charter, which states: “Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it. … There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through jihad. … Jihad is [our] path and death for the sake of Allah is the loftiest of [our] wishes.”

During the campaign season last spring, Ahmed Yousef of Hamas had this to say in an answer about talking with the next US President.  From

“We don’t mind–actually we like Mr. Obama. We hope he will (win) the election and I do believe he is like John Kennedy, great man with great principle, and he has a vision to change America to make it in a position to lead the world community but not with domination and arrogance.”

Obama’s response in front of a Jewish crowd?

Obama criticized former President Jimmy Carter’s decision to meet with Hamas, telling Jewish leaders Wednesday that “Hamas is not a state, Hamas is a terrorist organization.”

“We must not negotiate with a terrorist group intent on Israel’s destruction,” Obama said. “We should only sit down with Hamas if they renounce terrorism, recognize Israel’s right to exist, and abide by past agreements.

Well, lo and behold, Hamas is now telling us a different tale than the one Obama spins.  In an interview with a London publication yesterday, the same adviser to the Prime Minister of Hamas, Ahmed Yousef, had this information to offer:

In an interview published Tuesday in the London-based Al-Hayat, Dr. Ahmad Yousef, political adviser to Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh, said senior Hamas figures had held a secret meeting with advisers to Barack Obama in Gaza before the U.S. elections.

Throughout his campaign Obama’s official line was that he would “only talk with Hamas if it renounces terrorism, recognizes Israel’s right to exist, and agrees to abide by past agreements.”

According to Yousef in the Al-Hayat interview, the Obama-Hamas talks were already ongoing during the U.S. election campaign: “We were in contact with a number of Obama’s aides through the Internet, and later met with some of them in Gaza, but they advised us not to reveal this information as it may influence the elections or become manipulated by McCain’s campaign.”

Yousef also claimed he personally had friendly relations with some of Obama’s advisers and that “Haniyeh will draft a congratulatory letter to Obama for his victory.”

As far as I know, Hamas has not  yet renounced terrorism, has no plans to abide by past agreements and has not recognized Israel as its own state.

So why does Obama have his minions talking to Hamas?  And BEFORE the election nonetheless?  Aside from the dangerous policy issues associated with talking to terrorists without preconditions, why does Obama have his aides talking to known terrorists groups during a campaign with another sitting President at the helm?  Obama’s arrogance and chutzpah knows no bounds.

My sentiments are the same as found at PowerLine and Pajamas Media:

It’s hard to disagree with this assessment by David Hornik of Pajamas Media:

“A clash between Obama’s public, anodyne, mainstream statements and behind-the-scenes activities of a different nature would confirm the fears of those concerned about Obama’s history of association with radical people and ideologies.”

It would have been nice to know about the cordial relationship between Obama’s advisers and Hamas during the campaign. But, of course, it was an article of faith in the mainstream media that Obama’s many unsavory and radical associations were somehow irrelevant to any expectation as to how he would govern as President.

Are any of you 52’s having the least little bit of buyer’s remorse yet…now that you’ve had a week to let the blinding buzz where off?

Mandate to the Left of me, Divison to the Right, here I am stuck in a nightmare with “O”

Isn’t it interesting that waaaay back in 2004 when Bush won the election with 51% of the vote, the mainstream media, Democrats, liberals and partisans came out of the woodwork to say his win was NOT A MANDATE, but DIVISION?  The 51% was not a decisive edge, but stood for a great divide in this country and Bush’s win was the cause of it, basically.

Now move on up 4 years to 2008….Barack Obama won with 52% of the vote and, well, we have ourselves a BIG “O” MANDATE flush with unity and condescending compassionate victors.  Oh, and did we mention landslide?  That extra one percent sure does pack a punch!

 (H/T: The Anchoress)

Try to remember this “unity” game when Obama, and his power-hungry friends, Reid and Pelosi continue to blame “W” for all of “O”‘s problems….remember they have full-power now…but, of course, far be it from the brilliant leftists in charge to take responsiblity for their actions!  In fact, the precedent is being set for low expectations from the party of full-power.

From Jules Crittenden:

It’s not like they’re suddenly going to stop bashing Bush. Bush will be the excuse every time their guy stumbles. That’s OK, let them blame Bush. I’ve noticed they’ve already started looking for ways to avoid responsibility, dancing around the mandate issue. SF Chron

President-elect Barack Obama’s resounding election triumph was greeted Wednesday from nearly every quarter in Washington as a mandate for change. What was most striking after a resounding victory that also added at least five Democrats to the Senate and 23 to the House, was how gingerly Democratic leaders treated their new mandate.

It is “not a mandate for any political party or any ideology,” said Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., “but a mandate to get over those things that divide us and focus on getting things done.”

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-San Francisco, warned that Obama comes to office with “more expectations than any president I can ever remember in my lifetime,” and quickly sought to dampen them, citing the constraints of two wars and a sinking economy.

Even Democratic Party Chairman Howard Dean said, “I don’t think it’s a mandate for the New Deal. … I think it’s a mandate that the political class in this country has an obligation to young people in this country to stop fighting over stuff that might have been a big issue 25 years ago but it isn’t anymore.”

So just what does mandate mean then if you can’t use it to meet those high expectations you’ve set among the Sheeple?  Jules has the answer:

……. Obama’s election is not a mandate for them to actually do anything. It’s a mandate for Republicans to shut up. About abortion, gay rights, guns, affirmative action, killing jihadis, and whatever else Republicans have been squawking about. That’s an interesting kind of mandate. Mandate for an end to free speech?

Nail on the head.

Democrats moving to steal Senate seat in Minnesota

When I’ve had time this past week, I have been following the race between incumbent Norm Coleman (R) and Al Franken (D) for the Senate seat in Minnesota.

Democrats are obviously wanting another Senate seat in a very bad way.  Well, they have been working since last Tuesday adding “lost” votes to Franken’s count and taking away “bad” votes from Coleman.

Coleman’s margin has shrunk down to only 206 votes ahead of Franken, now.  And the official recount doesn’t start until November 19!!!

A clear view of the twisted statistics, and questionable votes coming from heavily Democratic counties…article by John Lott at Fox News. (H/T: PowerLine blog):

When voters woke up on Wednesday morning after the election, Senator Norm Coleman led Al Franken by what seemed like a relatively comfortable 725 votes. By Wednesday night, that lead had shrunk to 477. By Thursday night, it was down to 336. By Friday, it was 239. Late Sunday night, the difference had gone down to just 221 — a total change over 4 days of 504 votes.

Amazingly, this all has occurred even though there hasn’t even yet been a recount. Just local election officials correcting claimed typos in how the numbers were reported. Counties will certify their results today, and their final results will be sent to the secretary of state by Friday. The actual recount won’t even start until November 19.

Correcting these typos was claimed to add 435 votes to Franken and take 69 votes from Coleman. Corrections were posted in other races, but they were only a fraction of those for the Senate. The Senate gains for Franken were 2.5 times the gain for Obama in the presidential race count, 2.9 times the total gain that Democrats got across all Minnesota congressional races, and 5 times the net loss that Democrats suffered for all state House races.

Virtually all of Franken’s new votes came from just three out of 4130 precincts, and almost half the gain (246 votes) occurred in one precinct — Two Harbors, a small town north of Duluth along Lake Superior — a heavily Democratic precinct where Obama received 64 percent of the vote. None of the other races had any changes in their vote totals in that precinct.

To put this change in perspective, that single precinct’s corrections accounted for a significantly larger net swing in votes between the parties than occurred for all the precincts in the entire state for the presidential, congressional, or state house races.

HMMM?  Darnit how those BIG errors that defy statistics are always in the Democrat’s favor!  More:

The two other precincts (Mountain Iron in St. Louis county and Partridge Township in Pine county) accounted for another 100 votes each. The change in each precinct was half as large as the pickup for Obama from the corrections for the entire state.

The Minneapolis Star Tribune attributed these types of mistakes to “exhausted county officials,” and that indeed might be true, but the sizes of the errors in these three precincts are surprisingly large.

Here’s the real kicker:

Indeed, the 504 total new votes for Franken from all the precincts is greater than adding together all the changes for all the precincts in the entire state for the presidential, congressional, and state house races combined (a sum of 482). It was also true that precincts that gave Obama a larger percentage of the vote were statistically more likely to make a correction that helped Franken.

The recent Washington State 2006 gubernatorial recount is probably most famous for the discovery of ballots in heavily Democratic areas that had somehow missed being counted the first and even second time around. Minnesota is already copying that, though thus far on a much smaller scale, with 32 absentee ballots being discovered in Democratic Hennepin County after all the votes had already been counted. When those votes are added in, they seemed destined to cut Coleman’s lead further.

Indeed, it is probably through the discovery of new votes that Franken has his best shot of picking up new votes. Despite the press pushing a possible replay of election judges divining voters’ intentions by looking at “hanging chads” to see if voters meant to punch a hole, that shouldn’t be an issue in Minnesota. The reason is simple: optical scan vote counting machines return ballots to voters if no vote is recorded for a contested race.

The Associated Press piece with the title “Most Minn. Senate ‘undervotes’ are from Obama turf” misinformed readers about what undervotes really imply. The Minneapolis Star Tribune headline similarly claimed “An analysis of ballots that had a vote for president but no vote for U.S. senator could have recount implications.”

Voters themselves insert their ballot into the machine that reads and records their votes, and if the machine finds that a vote isn’t recorded, voters can either mark the race that they forgot to mark or didn’t mark clearly. Or if voters “overvoted” and accidentally marked too many candidates, voters can also get a fresh ballot. There should be no role to divine voters’ intentions. If a voter wanted a vote recorded for a particular race, the machine tells him whether his vote in all the races was counted.

But voters also have the right not to vote in particular races. In this election, 0.4 percent of Minnesotans didn’t want to vote for president. The number for the Senate race was only slightly higher at 0.8 percent. For congressional and state House races, the rates were 3 and 3.5 percent.

This pattern of fewer people voting in less important elections has been observed as long as people have studied elections. There are always at least a few people who don’t vote for even the most closely contested races at the top of the ballot and fewer people follow and vote for races the farther down the ballot that you go. But this is not evidence of mistakes, quite the contrary.

With ACORN filing more than 43,000 registration forms this year, 75 percent of all new registrations in the state, Minnesota was facing vote fraud problems even before the election. Even a small percentage of those registrations resulting in fraudulent votes could tip this election.

To many, it just seems like too much of a coincidence that Minnesota’s one tight race just happens to be the race with the most “corrected” votes by far. But the real travesty will be to start letting election officials divine voter’s intent. If you want to discourage people from voting, election fraud is one sure way of doing it.

Democrats are becoming masters at making a mockery of our elections….The citizens of Minnesota (and the rest of America) should be outraged!

Sentiments in graphic form…excuse the French!

This pretty much sums up the sentiments for what is about to happen to our country!

A humorous take on the sentiments of those who cast 58,958,000 losing votes

From Iowa Hawk:

Yes, I know there are probably other African-Americans much better qualified and prepared for the presidency. Much, much better qualified. Hundreds, easily, if not thousands, and without any troubling ties to radical lunatics and Chicago mobsters. Gary Coleman comes to mind. But let’s not let that distract us from the fact that Mr. Obama’s election represents a profound, positive milestone in our country’s struggle to overcome its long legacy of racial divisions and bigotry. It reminds us of how far we’ve come, and it’s something everyone in our nation should celebrate in whatever little time we now have left…

…So for now, let’s put politics aside and celebrate this historic milestone. In his famous speech at the Lincoln Memorial 45 years ago, Dr. King said “I have a dream that one day my children will live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.” Let us now take pride that Tuesday we Americans proved that neither thing matters anymore.

Some election humor for the depressed

A blogger I read regularly has a humorous viewpoint about the election and the overall “win” for … moms!

Full post here…..excerpts below (read the link to get the full effect of the humor):

…..I mean now, that we will all finally have peace, love, happiness, health care, a home, college eduction and free food, how can I not be overjoyed! The US has spoken. 66 million people have decided they would rather have the Government take care of their needs than take care of them on their own. 66 million people have decided that Socialism may be better than Capitalism. 66 million people have decided that “change” is good regardless of what it is or its cost. So Bravo America! You have chosen…time will tell if you have chosen wisely………….

…..So how can I be happy about the election?

Because in one small corner of the world–there was a resounding victory for our most precious commodity next to children—mothers…….

Why?  Because the wonderfully intelligent voters of California, who voted on the one hand to elect a gay marriage-supporting President and on the other voted for a Constitutional ban on gay marriage in their own State–they have voted “YES” to Proposition 2.

So, no more of this horrible treatment.  Now when these moms have their babies taken from them soon after they are laid (or is it lain–I hate this verb), it won’t be from some nasty crowded cage like this one.  And the moms will be able to turn around and talk to their other chicken mom friends about the evils of the baby-sale of their children.

And don’t forget the pigs…….

…….No more of this either.  Just look at them–what if one of them has restless leg syndrome and can’t stretch out–oh the humanity or piganity or whatever.  I’m just glad the mom’s took home this trophy.

Net result-higher priced bacon and eggs-but isn’t it worth it?  for the moms?

So don’t fret–not everything was lost yesterday–at least we took home this one.
