Forbes: “Double Down: Obamacare Will Increase Avg. Individual-Market Insurance Premiums By 99% For Men, 62% For Women”

Here is a great reference for your liberal and blinded friends (but I repeat myself) who believe that:
1) our government should even be involved in “healthcare” and
2) Obamacare will LOWER premiums.

The news is not good, but entirely anticipated by those opposed to this PARTISAN piece of government control.

Based on a Manhattan Institute analysis of the HHS numbers, Obamacare will increase underlying insurance rates for younger men by an average of 97 to 99 percent, and for younger women by an average of 55 to 62 percent. Worst off is North Carolina, which will see individual-market rates triple for women, and quadruple for men.

“That Lady Stands for Liberty!”

To honor the spirit of Rand Paul today:

“Just get up off the ground, that’s all I ask. Get up there with that lady that’s up on top of this Capitol dome, that lady that stands for liberty. Take a look at this country through her eyes if you really want to see something. And you won’t just see scenery; you’ll see the whole parade of what Man’s carved out for himself, after centuries of fighting. Fighting for something better than just jungle law, fighting so’s he can stand on his own two feet, free and decent, like he was created, no matter what his race, color, or creed. That’s what you’d see. There’s no place out there for graft, or greed, or lies, or compromise with human liberties. And, uh, if that’s what the grownups have done with this world that was given to them, then we’d better get those boys’ camps started fast and see what the kids can do. And it’s not too late, because this country is bigger than the Taylors, or you, or me, or anything else. Great principles don’t get lost once they come to light. They’re right here; you just have to see them again!”
—Jefferson Smith, played by Jimmy Stewart, in “Mr. Smith Goes To Washington”

““I will speak as long as it takes, until the alarm is sounded from coast to coast that our Constitution is important, that your rights to trial by jury are precious, that no American should be killed by a drone on American soil without first being charged with a crime, without first being found to be guilty by a court.”
– Senator Rand Paul (Kentucky), March 6, 2013, launching filibuster on the Senate floor in order to address the issue of the Obama administration’s belief that they have the power to kill non-combatant Americans in the US with drone strikes

#Obama in 2008 slanders half the country by calling them “bitter clingers” #romneyencore

Of course the Obama-media will pounce on the truth-teller Romney’s comments in the “gotcha” video….

But don’t we all remember when Obama slandered half of the country back in 2008 with his “bitter clingers” remark — a remark that was secretly taped?  Where was the heavy breathing by the media on that one saying “Obama’s lost the race”?

Such hypocrisy….and Obama’s comment wasn’t even factual or remotely true.  Romney’s was.

Here’s Obama trashing half of the country (or more) while being taped back in 2008:

Text of comments:

You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them….And they fell through the Clinton Administration, and the Bush Administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”

Just throw this back in the faces of the Obama-lovers in the media and elsewhere when they try to trash Romney for stating the obvious.
The double-standards and dishonesty are breathtaking in the media (and on the Left).

#Romney whacks the #Left with another #Truth Stick! #Obama hit hardest #47percent #SecretRomneyTapeRevelations

Tonight, Mitt Romney responded to the Mother Jones “gotcha” video…The video the Left thought would catch Romney in a “gotcha” moment seems to be backfiring for them.

And Romney’s response is spot-on.  Obama’s policies are a failure and adds to the dependence in this country. Transcript of Romney’s response:

“Of course, there’s a very different approach of the two campaigns.  As I point out that among those that pay no tax, approximately 47% of Americans, I’m not likely to be highly successful with a message of lowering taxes.  That’s not as attractive to those who don’t pay income taxes as to those who do.  And likewise, those who are reliant on government are not as attractive to my message of slimming down the size of government… The president and I have two very different approaches to the future of America and what it takes to ignite our economy and put people back to work.  The president believes in what I describe as a government centered society. Where government plays a larger and larger role and plays more and more of the needs of individuals.  And, I happen to believe instead in a free enterprise, free individual society where people pursuing their dreams are able to employ one another, build enterprises, build the strongest economy in the world.  I happen to believe that my approach is the approach that will put 23 million people back to work again.

We’ve watched the approach of the president’s approach over the last 3 1/2 or 4 years.  And his government centric, larger and larger government approach has meant that we have 15 million more people on food stamps, 23 million people out of work or stopped looking for work, or underemployed.  We have had 43 straight months of unemployment above 8%.  And my view is the right approach for the nation is not to adopt a government centered approach but instead a free, free people, free enterprise, free market consumer driven approach and that will build the strongest economy for ourselves and for the coming generations.”

(Video is at bottom of this post)

As I’ve asked one leftist commenter previously

What part of Obama’s policies actually ENCOURAGE self-reliance rather than  dependency?
What part of Obama’s policies actually ENCOURAGE individual success and/or climbing OUT of poverty instead of a steady dependence on government?

The Left gets silent (or avoid answering the specific question) when asked to defend Obama’s disastrous policies.
Thankfully Romney was not silent in his excellent response.

Romney is a free enterprise, capitalist, pro-American who is for individual freedom and effort and the power of the people.
Obama is a central-planning, socialist, anti-American who is for government dependency and his own power.

“Three Times They Said No to God” #DNC

Jesus answered, “I tell you, Peter, before the rooster crows today, you will deny three times that you know me.”
Luke 22:34

For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to
him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortalman and birds and animals and reptiles…
They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator–who is forever praised. Amen.
Romans 1:21-23;25

Krauthammer on Michelle Obama’s speech: “I didn’t buy a line of it.” #DNC2012 #Liar #actionsspeaklouderthanwords #MichelleObama

Charles Krauthammer gave Michelle Obama high marks on delivery, but doesn’t believe a line of her speech.

Neither do I.  Actions speak much louder than words, especially where Barack Obama is concerned.

From Krauthammer:

“Looking at the scene, looking at how he’s conducted himself if the presidency  and particularly campaign, with ruthlessness and determination and drive it’s  not quite a plausible story…..I’m sure in the arena it was a  plausible story. I saw the tears but I’m afraid, I thought it’s a great speech  but I didn’t buy a line of it.”
