Gay Patriot: “Why do gays need a Big Government hug?” #DOMA #Prop8 #religiousliberty

A view not often vocalized or seen of the gay marriage mandate given to us courtesy of the California and Supreme Courts….and against the will of the people. And with great risk to the religious community….

“If someone wants to engage in a civil contract with someone they love, nothing stopped them from doing so last week. I have consistently urged that public policy adopt civil unions with strong religious liberty protections as a balance to resolve the gay marriage issue. Instead, the gay political class decided that they would expend all their energy, time and millions of dollars for the last decade quarreling over the word “marriage.”…..

…..The gay political movement is bound and gagged to the progressive left. So ….we will see demands for public accommodations for gays and infringement upon the religious liberty of many faiths. I am confident that this attorney general, or the next one, and the Obama IRS, will put pressure on churches and synagogues to marry gay and lesbians. After all, there is a track record of such behavior over the past four years.

So for those of my gay and lesbian brothers and sisters who needed the federal government’s emotional approval of their relationship: Congratulations. I just hope all gay and lesbian Americans take a moment to stop and thank Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush for nominating Justices Kennedy and Roberts so the Clinton era of discrimination could come to an end Wednesday.”

Our Trojan Horse President….

Obama bows to King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia

Trojan Horse (definition):
concealed stratagem: somebody or something that is meant to disrupt, undermine, subvert, or destroy an enemy or rival, especially somebody or something that operates while concealed within an organization.

They say truth is stranger than fiction.

And as Robert Knight at the Washington Times points out, writing a novel about a President whose goal is to undermine the USA could never match the real thing we have in Barack Hussein Obama.

As we begin 2012, it is imperative that we remember the damage that this President has unleashed upon our country.  He must be removed from office….and this is the year we must do it.

Knights article is a great reminder of so many of the appalling things Obama has done in three years….for which much of the media and many Americans have given him a pass…

I was thinking about writing a novel about what might happen if a man who hates America and wants to bring it down is somehow elected president. What would he do?……

…….First, the Trojan Horse president would initiate unprecedented spending, driving the debt up by more than $4 trillion just in the first three years. Much of the money would go into the pockets of political supporters and people who donate heavily to his campaigns…….

……….(He would)  Ship hundreds of taxpayer-purchased firearms to Mexican drug gangs in order to frame law-abiding gun sellers in Texas. When the Fast and Furious weapons are used to kill U.S. and Mexican lawmen, the attorney general will pretend he didn’t know about the program until very recently and is shocked, shocked! The attorney general will claim that critics of this criminally insane policy are motivated by racial animus against him and the president. After all, this worked when anyone questioned why the president’s college and medical records were sealed or why he attended a Marxist minister’s church for 20 years and hung out with known terrorists.

He would appoint Supreme Court justices who believe in a “living Constitution,” which means they can ignore its plain meaning when it interferes with their ideological agenda.

He would stack the National Labor Relations Board with union hacks who would do unspeakable things such as order a major company (Boeing) not to open a new factory in a right-to-work state (South Carolina) in the middle of the worst recession since the Great Depression. If he got away with that, he would go ahead and strengthen a crony socialist system reminiscent of Mussolini’s Italy or Hugo Chavez’s Venezuela that subsidizes “winners” such as Solyndra.

Finally, throughout his tenure, he would employ the Marxist rhetoric of class warfare, blame “the wealthy” and make more Americans dependent on government checks. He would sucker Republican leaders into secret meetings and emerge to accuse them of wanting to raise taxes on all but the rich.

PayPal: Clients’ religious freedoms trump homosexual activists’ preferences

We keep being told that so-called same sex marriage and the forced acceptance of homosexuality doesn’t change anything.  It harms no one.

But for some reason, every few weeks, we hear another story about gays trying to shut down the behavior or speech of Christians….

In this case, however, they did not succeed….kudos to PayPal:

In an era of growing intolerance to Christian beliefs and corporate skittishness to pressure from gay activists, the world’s largest global electronic payments service provider says its clients’ religious freedoms trump homosexual activists’ preferences. — a gay activist petition site — recently targeted PayPal, taking umbrage at the fact that nearly a dozen ministries and charities that don’t endorse homosexuality use PayPal in their fundraising efforts.  “We won’t stop speaking up until they drop [the] 10 sites and ban all anti-LGBT extremist groups,” writes in its petition. The accounts in question are predominately U.S.-based nonprofits.

The petition states that it’s “PayPal’s responsibility to make sure this technology doesn’t fall into the wrong hands.”

A PayPal spokeswoman said the company prohibits the use of its services to promote acts of hate and violence. “However, we also take into account the rights of free speech and freedom of religion,” she said. “Balancing these conflicting rights is often difficult, and so we assess possible infringements objectively against our Acceptable Use Policy.”

Get that?  Christians and their ministries are “extremist groups”, in the eyes of these gay activists.

Just to be clear…this is what happened here.  A gay activist group targets a corporation that deals with a wide-array of companies, clients and groups.  The gay activists try to force the company to sever ties with any groups who don’t condone their lifestyle or their view of what theses customers should be.

We, as individuals (and Christians), need to stand up as PayPal did and declare our right to believe as we choose.

From a commenter at the link….it appears the gay lobby has become what it says it abhors:

Definition of Bigot: “A person obstinately or intolerably devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices, especially one exhibiting intolerance, and animosity toward those of differing beliefs.”

Update: Now it’s law SB48: California mandates gays be added to history books while shutting out Christian group “activities” in education

UPDATE 7/15/11:  Jerry Brown has signed the bill into law.

As California goes, so goes the nation?

Well, California is far down the path of legalizing special status to gays in education curriculum based on their contributions to “contemporary society”.  Translated it means that a group that exists only because of their sexual behavior will now be included in textbooks and education in California solely because of their sexual preference.

From SB48:

Instruction in social sciences shall include the early history of California and a study of the role and contributions of….lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender Americans…with particular emphasis on portraying the role of these groups in contemporary society.

But that’s not all.  Not only does the bill require the above special treatment in textbooks, but Christians also will receive “special treatment” with this law.

From the text of SB 48 in California:

A teacher shall not give instruction and  a school district shall not sponsor any activity that promotes a discriminatory bias on the basis of race or ethnicity, gender, religion, disability,  nationality, sexual orientation,  or because of a characteristic listed in Section 220.

The “special” treatment for Christians amounts to a suppression of their religious expression and discrimination against them for their beliefs.

California law will now mandate that education include persons of “society” and “history” based on what they do in the bedroom.

That same law, by its requirement that no “adverse” views of homosexuality be included, makes no place for Christians (and other groups and religions) that reject homosexuality as the norm.

By extension, doesn’t this law require that education ignore the roles and contributions of Christians to California and US society if they have an alternate view than does the minority LGBT lobby?

And doesn’t this bill prohibit Christian-based groups from leading or holding a school-sponsored “activity”?  If so, doesn’t that fact completely negate the bill’s requirement that there should be no bias based on religion?

In California schools we now MUST teach our kids about obscure people because they prefer homosexual sex, but that same school must reject the Bible, punish Christian groups, and discriminate against individuals who don’t embrace what they, and many others throughout history, have viewed as sexual perversion.

From Michael Reagan via ConservativeByte:

Singling out a segment of the population for specific inclusion in school studies programs on the basis of their sexual preferences elevates what — rightly or wrongly — many see as a form of sexual perversion, to a civil right.

The bill, SB 48, passed on a party-line vote, adds lesbian, gay, bisexual and so-called transgendered people as well as those with physical or mental disabilities to the list of groups that schools must include in the lessons. It also would prohibit material that reflects adversely on gays.

Currently, or at least traditionally, history studies have been about the events and people who have changed the world, not their sexual preferences.   Reagan again:

The matter of the content of school textbooks has long been a controversial subject, but until now it has never reached the point where specific parts of the population are singled out for preferential treatment, especially when the segment of the population is distinguished solely by their sexual preferences.

School textbooks should never be used to promote anybody’s political positions. They should instruct, not propagandize the publisher’s personal politics.

But, in a nutshell, that is what you get with SB48:

  • All schools in California must use materials, including textbooks, that include “the role and contributions” of homosexuals and transgenders “to the economic, political, and social development of California and the United States of America, with particular emphasis on portraying the role of these groups in contemporary society.”
  • No school in California may sponsor any activity that “promotes a discriminatory bias” against homosexuality. (This essentially bans the Boy   Scouts, traditional religious clubs, etc.)
  • No textbooks or instructional materials in California schools may “reflect adversely” on homosexuality.
  • All “alternative or charter schools” in California are hereby warned that they’d better adopt similar rules.

Here is what Geoff Kors, Equality California Executive Director, has to say about this bill:

LGBT people should not be pushed into the closet when it comes to what students learn about history. Educating youth about the contributions of LGBT Californians and our state’s rich diversity will help foster true acceptance of LGBT students and will ultimately create a safe school environment for all students.”

I don’t ever want to hear again that this isn’t about creating a special status (where there is none) to those who practice homosexuality (among other things.).

For years now, the Bible has been banned in school libraries, Christians have been discriminated against in the public square including government schools, and the history of Christianity and its followers (including the founders of our country) has been politically altered to eliminate their distinct belief in the values of the Bible.   Where is the respect for Christianity?

Christians, in the public square and government schools, have been pushed into a the closet of which Kors speaks.

Are their contributions worthy of being included solely because they are Christians?   Will well-known historic figures be labeled as Christians if they professed to be?

Or is it just important to name whether a nondescript person was homosexual or not?  Must our kids now read that the founders were white, heterosexual men but not about their belief in the values of the Bible?

If we take contemporary society (which the bill references), would Christian evangelist Billy Graham be portrayed negatively because he believes in the Bible that condemns homosexuality?  Or, if included at all, would he be fairly touted as the positive influence and leader  he has been in a “contemporary society” even though he preaches against homosexuality?

The answers are yes and no, respectively because  the intent of this bill is not “fairness” for all but about forced acceptance and indoctrination of the homosexual lifestyle.

The sacrosanct idea, of the minority, that we must all “accept” homosexuality as normal will be accomplished by producing otherwise nondescript people as historic figures simply because they are homosexual or “transgendered”.

And, similarly the Christian belief that homosexuality is wrong will be deemed an illegal belief….at least as far as the schools and education are concerned.

At what point does the California legislature similarly feel the need to so vehemently protect the religious rights of kids and parents in California?

You may think this is just another “Left Coast thing”…but I can guarantee you that the information in those textbooks will make its way all over public schools in this country.  Similarly, this very idea of raising the status of sexual alternatives above Christian beliefs, with legislation, can fall over us like a domino to many areas of the country if passed in California.  It already has with gay marriage in New York.

Remember the words of Camille Paglia, self-defined lesbian and paganist from her 1994 book, Vamps and Tramps:

“For the past decade, the situation has been out of control: responsible scholarship is impossible when rational discourse is being policed by storm troopers, in this case gay activists, who have the absolutism of all fanatics in claiming sole access to the truth.”

Thoughts on Gay Marriage

I’m sickened by the new law in NY for gay marriage.  Five other states and DC have gay marriage but with gay marriage in New York it feels as if we are firmly on the downhill slide of that slippery slope of redefining marriage for the few.

What I do know is that this has been coming for a very long time while Christians of all stripes have chosen not to fight.  I think the gays have won.  They are not right, they are legislating immoral behavior.  But it appears they have won….through deception and the power of the state.

Marriage is God-ordained and between a man and woman.  The state sanction of “gay marriage” is not about civil rights, but about creating new rights.  Eventually, I have no doubt, that it will mean the disintegration of religious rights….particularly of those individuals who perform the marriages…but really the rights of all Christians who understand that homosexuality is a sin.  Christians understand the struggle of homosexuals and are taught to be kind….but it is not biblical and it is un-Christian to embrace the behavior.  I fear that through the courts and the long-term view of the homosexual lobby (the view of crushing a moral society) we will see courts forcing Christians to accept this behavior and require pastors, business people of conscience, and more to teach, perform and embrace what they personally deem as an abomination.  Sad.

Ultimately, this passage in New York will lead to lawsuits that are focused on FORCING gay marriage in all states through the courts….mark my words.

And, I might add, this is not just about the religious aspects of marriage, but about the breaking down of Western civilization.  Marriage is a bedrock institution of the continuity and success of Western culture.

Yes, marriage has taken a beating in our culture lately, but the decline of morality in marital issues in this country should not lead to the complete obliteration of marriage…..which will happen with so-called gay marriage.

Further, a free society (one out from under the thumb of state) only sustains itself under a moral society.  It is my belief and the belief of others that the so-called gay marriage agenda is an intentional direct hit to our moral society in an effort to make the state bigger and freedom smaller….at least this is the goal of some in power.

Ace of Spades has a great review and thoughts on the subject.  I highly encourage you to read at the link.

Republican DEM-olition of 2010: The Winners and Losers

FORMER. Speaker. Nancy. Pelosi.

Has a ring to it doesn’t it? Those are four of the best words I’ve heard in the last 24 hours.

The Republican’s overwhelmingly swung the House of Representatives Majority away from the Dems to make it a roughly 240+ seat house for the GOP.

While some of the candidates we wanted to win did not, there were certainly many who did.  And the Gubernatorial elections have taken a huge swing in the GOP direction….30+ Republican governorships!

MAKE NO MISTAKE.  Don’t adhere to the Democratic/Leftist media spin……

This was a HUGE, RED tsunami wave that just swept over Obama and his enabling Democratic party.   Yesterday’s was a historic election…bigger than the most recent Republican wipeout of Dems in 1994 — Bigger than any election in decades.

I thought I would compile the Winners and Losers of yesterdays elections….not just the individual candidates, but the issues, groups and others included:

The American People:  Freedom to have your vote counted.  Many people throughout our history have made great effort and sacrifice for our opportunity to vote. And, in this case, the sweeping wins by conservatives is a major battle won in the continuing war against the Socialist agenda.  A big step in getting our country back!

The Tea Party: The Tea Parties, which moved into full swing shortly after the  Obama/Pelosi/Reid Socialist cabal’s arrogant overreach, were the most influential group in this election.  Without them, I think it is inarguable that many Americans would not have had the voice, nor the knowledge behind their votes, that they possessed in this election!

Republicans60+ seats gained in House for a Majority of 240+,  added 6+ seats in Senate (avg in off-year elections is around 3-4 seats), Republicans gained 9+ governorships and will now hold 30+ Governor seats; Republicans have added  23 MORE States where Republicans gained control of all or part of their Legislatures

The majority of states that now have Republican Governors (30+):  Key wins include Ohio, Florida, Arizona, Iowa, Pennsylvania, New Mexico, Wyoming, Oklahoma, Kansas, Michigan, Wisconsin.

The majority of states that now have GOP legislatures!

Minorities and Women:   What was that you said, Democrats?  What was it all those Leftists have kept repeating?  Republicans are what?  Racist??  Racist,  you say?   Well, the proof is in the pudding…A LARGE number of GOP winners yesterday are minorities and/or women –  including Marco Rubio (FL), Nikki Haley(SC), Allen West (FL), Susana Martinez (NM), Brian Sandoval (NV), Tim Scott (SC), Bill Flores(TX), Francsico Canseco (WA), David Rivera (FL), Mary Fallin (OK), Kristi Noem (SD).

State of Oklahoma: The first woman Governor of Oklahoma, GOP’s Mary Fallin, was elected.  Tom Coburn was overwhelmingly re-elected.  And the people of the great state of Oklahoma covered a lot of good ground on ballot issues:

  •  voted to keep Sharia Law out of the courts
  •  voted to make English the common language of the state
  • voted for term limits in state positions
  • voted AGAINST a teacher’s union effort to dramatically increase spending on education with no clear allocations nor budgets to cover it
  • voted to allow Oklahomans to opt out of Obamacare mandates, and
  • voted for photo ID before voting in elections.

Citizens of District 8 in FloridaThey ousted liberal, anti-American, rabid, nasty, kook Democrat Alan Grayson from the House!

Citizens of District 22 in Florida (includes Broward and Palm Beach counties):  They elected Allen West, Republican, who is a black, retired Lt. Colonel in the Army.  Staunch conservative and Tea Party candidate.  Go West..give ’em heck in the House!

The People of Iowa:  They voted out 3 state Supreme Court judges who ruled, against the will of the people of Iowa, for same-sex marriage.  Iowa, we all need to follow your lead and clean out those who legislate from the bench!

Sarah Palin:  She has a habit of silencing the critics at almost every turn.  The vast majority of candidates she backed won their races yesterday in this election season.   As of now, of those candidates she endorsed, 7 out of 12 won their races in the Senate this election season and 30 of 43 won in the House.

and now the Losers!

Now FORMER House Speaker Nancy Pelosi:  Someone threw a bucket of water on the witch of the west!!!    And she has melted!   Her arrogance is a one-way trip back to LaLa Land….have fun Nancy.    Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.  You have been perhaps the worst “leader” in recent history.    GOODBYE and GOOD RIDDANCE.

Democrats:  They are all willful parties in alienating the people from their Constitution. The arrogance, spending, Socialism, Healthcare votes, inability and/or lack of effort to produce a budget, corruption, not reading bills, buying off votes against the will of the American people, lock-step votes behind Socialist Obama….and more.  All have resulted in crashing message from the American People that WE DON”T WANT YOUR ANTI-AMERICAN HOPE AND CHANGE!

Obama:  Regardless of the spin, this election IS a referendum on Obama and his economic policies and his anti-American rhetoric.   Let’s see if Obama has it in him to effect TRUE compromise with the will of the American people.  That will has been realized in  the form of a new House majority and gains in the Senate.  That will is also exhibited in multiple gains in state legislatures by conservatives and a majority of GOP Governorships.  We want change, Obama, but we want a change BACK from your brand of “change”.

Those who have gotten rich or made a career of “representing Americans”:  I use ‘representing” loosely.  Centuries of Democratic seniority was beaten to a pulp in the House last night!

California:  A repeat with Governor Moonbeam Brown…. four more years with the hippie at the helm of California.  Does anybody really believe that Moonbeam will bring fiscal sanity back to California by standing up to public sector unions?  Does anyone really believe that “renewable energy” is California’s future?  If so, then you might be smoking illegal pot.

Pot smokers:  Prop 19 in California and pot referendums in two other states did not pass.  Sorry but you’ll have to keep your pot in the closet for now.

California, again:  Re-electing Babs “Call Me Senator” Boxer and re-electing Loretta Sanchez.

Congressional Reps who voted for ObamacareThey were voted out in droves! (Including the liberal Republican Cao in Lousiana…voted OUT!)

The US Military:  The Democrats have actively worked to keep the military from voting.  What a shame for the very souls who have risked their lives, sacrificed their lives and limb to make sure we can vote.  Count ALL of the votes. (H/T:

The citizens of Alaska:  Enduring Lisa Murkowski and her arrogance in saying she is “doing what the people of Alaska want” certainly doesn’t make for a great experience for the people of Alaska.  Murkowski was beaten by Joe Miller in the primary  and at that point the people had spoken against her.  Instead of losing gracefully, she has forced the citizens to endure a huge legal battle with her “write-in” campaign.  Not to mention that if she is indeed the winner with such a campaign, the question of fraudulent activity committed by her campaign is not an unreasonable one to ask.

The citizens of Nevada, along with the American people:  Gee, thanks, Nevada, for forcing Harry Reid upon all of us for another 6 years.  GAG!  Or should I thank the SEIU, Casino unions, Reid’s corruption, voting machines already marked for Reid, ….?????  You get the picture.   What a travesty to keep this brainless creature in office.  But, then again, as Rush says, having Harry Reid as the face of the Democrats and Obama’s agenda going forward can only help conservatives in the run-up to 2012.

Obamacare:  Presumed new Speaker of the House John Boehner said today he will work to repeal Obamacare!  Get on with it complete dismantling of this monstrosity.

Joy Behar:  She was already a loser before the election yesterday.  I am just including her because she is like fingers on a chalkboard to most reasonable, intelligent Americans.   She is an intolerant, arrogant leftist (are there any other kind?).  When she points the finger and calls others a B^&* , she must remember that at the same time she has 3 fingers pointing back at her.

America, our war against the statist, anti-Constitutionalist, anti-Americans has just begun with a victory in yesterday’s battle.

We are a center-right country.  The idea of standing up for the Constitution and our conservative, traditional roots is the centrist/moderate position in this country.  Don’t let the wishy-washy “moderates” tell you any different.

If you are anywhere to the left of freedom, free markets, and our Constitution, then you are the extremist.

Americans fighting for and standing up for liberty are in the centrist position and we took a HUGE step in moving our country back to the Constitutional, free-America position yesterday.

Kudos to you patriots who have fought the fight and won, decisively, the first battle.

I love this country and I’m proud of it.  God Bless America.
