The Obamas: Everyone must sacrifice….while we flaunt extravagance and wealth

I’m not one to begrudge any one who drops a lot of bills on jewelry, cars, homes, etc….as long as they can afford it, of course.

Your money—->your business.

And I don’t even have a problem with Michelle Obama choosing nice clothing and jewelry for official occasions (although the occasion in this case was a DNC fundraiser).

What I do have a big problem with is Barack and Michelle Obama PREACHING to Americans about “sacrifice”…..and all the while these two dress in the most expensive designer duds, eat expensive meals, spend taxpayer dollars on expensive vacations….and on Tuesday, Michelle Obama was sporting designer “cuff” bracelets worth over $40,000.

All we’ve heard the last two weeks from Obama is the “rich” don’t pay their “fair share“….Obama demonizes the “rich’ on a regular basis, while being perfectly (and hypocritically) comfortable flaunting the wealth and extravagance that a few years in politics has showered upon him and his wife.

Michelle says: “Let them where GoldTone and Cubic Z…..”

That was no ordinary bling on the wrist of First Lady Michelle Obama at the DNC fundraiser in New York Tuesday night….If you’ve been saving your nickels and dimes, the cuffs are available locally at Judith Ann Jewels. The First Lady wore Katie’s Lotus cuff priced at $15,000 with 2.9 carats of diamonds, her Gothic cuff at $15,350 with 2.17 carats in diamonds and the Quatrefoil bracelet at $11,800 with 1.73 carats in diamonds.

  1. There are 2 descriptions in French for Michelle:
    1. Nouveau riche (New rich)
    2. Marie Antoinette

The sad part is that she believes she’s Jackie Kennedy Onassis…

Has anyone noticed that no one is talking about how she is brought fashion back to the White House anymore? Why: She does not know how to spell class…

  2. Additionally, I do not see anything wrong with the first lady wearing borrowed “stuff” if it helps promote the American fashion and jewelry industries.

The kicker is how do you promote wealth and fashion in a country with 9.1% unemployment, $1.5T deficit per annum: With subdued class which is incapable of.

Instead of going to Martha’s Vineyard, they should have gone to North Carolina or Louisiana or…

    I feel better already SRT!

  3. I would agree that sporting the “stuff” of American entrepreneurs is not necessarily a bad thing.

Nor is a nice vacation now and then.

But these two PREACH to everyone else about sacrifice and practice NONE of it themselves. And you’re right, with the shape of the economy and financial status of many Americans, flaunting extravagance is out of line….ESPECIALLY when they preach to everyone else about it.

  4. You agree violently and do not give me thumbs up… There goes my gold star…

  5. There..I fixed it 🙂
