UPDATE: I want names: Multiple airline issues; scrambled jets on 10th anniversary of 9-11 #911

UPDATE 9/12/11:  According to MSNBC, on the AA flight, there were two Israelis and one Russian questioned and released. No names given.

According to Detroit Free Press, on the Frontier flight, all released, no names given:

The three passengers who were taken off the plane in handcuffs were released Sunday night, and no charges were filed against them, airport spokesman Scott Wintner said.

And apparently on the United 3681, the men were found to be air marshals.  But people on the plane said the two men were taken off in handcuffs.  Still no names and still questionable.

And, apparently, I am not the only one wondering about names of “unruly” passengers.

ORIGINAL POST BELOW:

Just in the last half hour or so I have read about 3 different airline incidents today involving “unruly” passengers.

I want names!  None of the articles so far mention the names of the passengers in question.

These occurences may be coincidence, but I doubt it.  The names may be Smith, Jones, or Johnson, but I doubt it.

Today, a flight from LAX to JFK, experience “unruly passengers” and military jets were scrambled to follow the plane:

Sources told CBS News, the three passengers on Flight 34 were disruptive, moving in and out of lavatories, even at one point locking themselves inside……The unruly passengers eventually returned to their seats and were being questioned by federal authorities after the plane touched down at JFK, 1010 WINS’ Sonia Rincon reported. …The North American Aerospace Defense Command scrambled two F-16 jets to shadow Flight 34 until it landed safely at Kennedy Airport at 4:10 p.m. Sunday…..A law enforcement official said the incident was not believed to be terror related. Smith said a “security concern” was brought to the airline’s attention but the plane’s captain never declared any sort of security threat and never requested law enforcement help.

So why were jets scrambled if there was no request for help?  Who were the unruly passengers and were they detained after questioning?

Similarly, this afternoon, three people have been detained in Detroit after “suspicious” activity and locking themselves in the bathroom:

Frontier Flight 623, with 116 passengers on board, landed without incident in Detroit at 3:30 p.m. EDT after the crew reported that two people were spending “an extraordinarily long time” in a bathroom, Frontier spokesman Peter Kowalchuck said.

// The Airbus 318 taxied to a pad away from the terminal and police took three passengers into custody, Kowalchuck said. The three escorted off the plane in handcuffs included two men and a woman.
Two F-16s were dispatched to shadow the Airbus, said John Cornelio, spokesman for the North American Aerospace Defense Command, which is headquartered at Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs.
And a third incident hasn’t even made it to the mainstream news  from what I can find.  From Townhall.com:
Young America’s Foundation Program Officer Ron Meyer was aboard United …Flight 3681 going from St. Louis to Dulles Airport near Washington D.C.  and has informed me the plane was forced to land 10 minutes ago after two men stood up on the plane and declared they were Federal Air Marshals. The men were then asked for paperwork to prove the claim, and when it couldn’t be produced, the plane made an emergency landing. Passengers are being forced to deplane, all luggage is being checked again and all passengers must be checked back in.
Well, that’s new tactic…..and I still want to know names.
And updated report from Townhall.com states that Oliver North was also on the United 3681 flight.
Perhaps we will get updates on the names of the people involved in these “suspicious” but “non-threatening” plane episode on 9-11-11.
