This isn’t the Democratic Party of our fathers and grandfathers. This is the party of Woodstock hippies. I was at Woodstock — I built the stage. And when everything fell apart, and people were fighting for peanut-butter sandwiches, it was the National Guard who came in and saved the same people who were protesting them. So when Hillary Clinton a few years ago wanted to build a Woodstock memorial, I said it should be a statue of a National Guardsman feeding a crying hippie.
It is interesting that Brown brings in Curt Schilling, Doug Flutie and the guy who played Cliff Clavin on “Cheers” while his opponent, Democrat Martha Coakley brings in President Obama and the widow of Ted Kennedy.
We shall see which strategy works.
LOL. It seems that the former strategy has already worked best whether Brown wins or loses this seat because, in a status quo year, it would not even be competitive.
FYI – Scott Brown is ahead 51-46 in the last PPP poll before election day.
