I was just able to make it through Obama’s “I Have a Dream of Socialism” speech. I was physically nauseated at the end….not sure if it is my gallbladder acting up or the speech itself…probably both.
My somewhat random thoughts on this speech:
Barack Obama is a smooth talker that is for sure. I get angry when I listen to him and his cohorts knock down the “last 8 years” as if Bush was the devil and we’ve all been in poverty since January, 2001.
According to Obama, almost no one has a job, our military men and women are all abused when returning home, people have lost their homes because of mean-old-bad-Bushie, and our kids are barely learning how to count in school!
Excuse me, but most of the embellished facts or out right lies of “broken” America that Obama states, are the same old issues that every Democrat candidate talks about in every Presidential election since Reagan (and probably before). Thank God the Dems have had only 8 years in Presidential power since Reagan, but they have also had many years of Congressional control….if these issues are so out of control, then why the heck haven’t the Democrats taken care of all of these same issues they discuss every four years?
Nothing Obama mentions is new, yet he packages his rhetoric as if his ascent to power will bring the biggest change to ever be available for the country since its founding…..come to think of it…he is probably right about that……
Speaking of CHANGE….Obama eluded to the fact that he is NEW (again, that word) to Washington whereas McCain is a Washington insider. Therefore, with Obama we will have a NEW America. Here is what he said:
I know there are those who dismiss such beliefs as happy talk. They claim that our insistence on something larger, something firmer and more honest in our public life is just a Trojan Horse for higher taxes and the abandonment of traditional values. And that’s to be expected. Because if you don’t have any fresh ideas, then you use stale tactics to scare the voters. If you don’t have a record to run on, then you paint your opponent as someone people should run from.
Well, you know what?…..The experience and background from which Obama draws is radically different than that of most Americans. And yes, I do insist that he is a “happy talker and a sleezy walker”. Obama talks a good line while, behind the scenes, he engages in “stale tactics” to silence his critics. Worse yet, he is also a man who believes in silencing permanently a newborn baby born of a botched abortion…
In Obama’s case it isn’t a matter of abandoning traditional values…as far as the eye can see, he has never even held traditional values!
As far as fresh ideas…Obama’s ideas are not “fresh”…..the founders of this country had fresh ideas, experience, and hard core values that defined their lives and their actions. We reap the benefit of those men, their ideas, and their fortitude to this very day.
Most of us Americans of the TRULY patriotic sort are not partaking of the vessel filled with Obama’s Red Koolaid……and, most of all, we are not ready to throw the Founder’s of our country under Obama’s bus….
What Obama proposes is a NEW direction for America….and it is not “happy change.” Obama is bent on power and wishes to see a Socialist America where he can take money from “the rich” and distribute to others through his various liberal programs. And that is among one of the better changes we could see with an Obama administration!
People should run from Obama before we ALL end up under the wheel of his bus…..Obama’s “fresh” and “new” ideas have been tested in world history and they should never be a part of America. This guy is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. He puts a nice moderate facade around his radical policies….he plays the part of a non-partison healer while suppressing his radical, leftist ideology and anger towards America.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again……This country elects Barack Obama at our own peril.
Please don’t put me in a position of having to say I told you so!
