Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing

And from Gateway Pundit, more on Obama’s church, its extreme views, doctrine linked to Nation of Islam and Black Theology, and Obama’s silence on it all.

There is new information almost daily related to the radical views Obama has been hearing at this church and from the people “who inspired him.”  This time “whites are the AntiChrist”…..  Gateway Pundit references a report by McClatchy on the Trinity United Church of Christ and its docrtine.

Falls in line with some things I wrote about a couple of days ago……..  the Black Liberation Theology was started by James Cone.  The doctrine of Obama’s church is rooted in Black Liberation Theology.

Here are some excerpts from the McClatchy report———–

What Cone has to say:

“Together, black religion and Marxist philosophy may show us the way to build a completely new society.”

Asked about that, Cone said: “I’m not a Marxist. . . . I’m a theologian, and I want to change society. I was searching for my way forward. I want a society in which people have the distribution of wealth, but I don’t know how quite to do that institutionally.”

He said that the idea of a black Jesus didn’t mean Jesus necessarily looked like a black African, but it did rule out Jesus being a white European. More importantly, he said it meant that Jesus “made a solidarity with the (oppressed) people of the land.”

Cone wrote that the United States was a white racist nation and the white church was the Antichrist for having supported slavery and segregation.

Today, Cone, a professor at Union Theological Seminary in New York, stands by that view, but also makes clear that he doesn’t believe that whites individually are the Antichrist.

In an interview, Cone said that when he was asked which church most embodied his message, “I would point to that church (Trinity) first.” Cone also said he thought that Wright’s successor, the Rev. Otis Moss III, would continue the tradition.

Obama, 46, who’s biracial, joined Trinity in his late twenties when he worked as a community organizer. He says he’ll continue to worship there.

So where does Obama get his radical, socialist, Marxist views?  Not hard to figure out is it?

How can he not believe the stuff his church, its preacher, and those who inspired the church’s doctrine (Cone) have preached and practiced for years?

I’ve thought it for a while…..now I’ll say it…..Obama is a wolf in sheep’s clothing.  He is not coming clean on his real views, he won’t denounce the radical ideas of those who’ve inspired him, yet he is trying to portray himself as the racial healer/uniter/Messiah for this country…..

We elect him at our own peril……

  1. The racial problem in this country is a black behavior problem. There’s lots of earnest discussions about it, and liberals mostly blame “hidden racism,” but this is the essential reality. No liberal will admit this, and that’s why it’s an intellectually bankrupt philosophy. This behavior problem is the reason whites move to suburbs. It’s the reason blacks die so frequently in shootouts. It’s the reason blacks do worse in school, save less, have worse credit, and make neighborhoods less pleasant places to be. Some of this might be endemic, but black America, working with the same raw material, was not always this screwed up.

Yes, of course, there are many exceptions to this rule. There are decent, humane, polite, Christian, and civilized black people. But they are not so numerous as they should be (or once were) and, most important, they tend to make excuses for their less well behaved brothers and sisters. In positions of leadership, their pandering is immense. Notice Obama asks much of white America–support for affirmative action, understanding of Wright and his raucous church–but only asks blacks to believe that this terrible weight of oppression can be lifted by supporting him and his run-of-the-mill liberal program, uniting with whites to go after evil corporations.

Jeremiah Wright denies this black behavior problem exists and projects the various deficiencies, disorders, and hatreds of the black community on whites. He has to justify this rampant all-consuming hatred–hatred he foments every Sunday–with something, so he creates and recreates a bogeyman: the legions of white racists who continue to hold down black people. There is much smoke here, but almost no fire.

Barack says, in effect, Wright’s is a correct analysis of the problem. Blacks at worst exacerbate or contribute to their own racism-caused problems. But he also says there’s hope for change through something he wants us to forget we’ve been trying for thirty years: liberal government programs and white acknowledgement of their current and past racist actions, including such egregious sins as his grandmother being scared of thuggish young black men.

This is not a patriotic, humane, or sensible approach to the issue. It is, at best, the simulation of a courageous address about race. Obama falls back on the stale diagnosis and stale solutions of LBJ and the Great Society.

  2. […] Cone, by the way, is the founder of Black Liberation Theology.  I have blogged on his views that Jesus was black, white people are the anti-Christ, and how Jeremiah’s Church best emodies […]
