Rule of Law Prevailing in Oklahoma

As of November 1 a new law is in effect in Oklahoma.  A stopgap measure, this bill was adopted to address illegal aliens that are residing and working in Oklahoma.  “The law bars illegal immigrants from getting jobs and state benefits and makes it a felony to harbor or transport illegal immigrants.”  (Can you say YESSS!??) It’s about time!

The bill has so far survived opposition efforts to stop the bill from becoming law on November 1.  On October 31, a judge dismissed the latest lawsuit challenge to the law.  It is clear there is a road of challenges to the law ahead…..but this is good news and long overdue!
