Something to consider: A snapshot-in-time of YOUR country

As I’ve read and listened to the new just over the last several days, I just keep wondering what our country is and has been transforming to.

As I’ve stated before, I no longer believe the fight in this country is between Republicans and Democrats or liberals vs. conservatives, per se. I believe our fight is clearly one on many fronts: good vs. evil, anti-Capitalists vs. Capitalists, immoral vs. moral, and haters-of-Americans vs. America lovers, and freedom suppressors vs. freedom lovers. This includes clear assaults on our markets, upon Christians, upon patriots, our military, and our system of laws.

Much of the most recent news gives a great glimpse into the country we are becoming and have become. As you read these examples, think to yourself if this is the country you want now and one you wish to leave to your kids and grandkids.

We’ve sat on the sidelines for far too long while we’ve allowed these assaults on our institutions to fester and grow. It is a sad state of affairs.  And the current administration and Congress has done virtually nothing to make it better and almost everything to make it worse.

I give you, my fellow citizens, a snapshot of your country in the Spring, 2010:

Patriotism no longer accepted:  Students sent home for wearing American flag to school on Cinco de Mayo

Students from Live Oak School in California

A group of California students who dared to wear the American flag on Cinco de Mayo learned a hard lesson about the corruption of citizenship and sovereignty this week.

They were sent home for their show of U.S. patriotism.

No bounds to immorality and perversion:  It’s official: Cher’s gender-swap son Chaz Bono is legally a man   The disgusting details:

Chaz Bono as man....formerly Chastity Bono

Bono started undergoing gender-reassignment surgery in March 2009 – soon after turning 40.

In an interview last year, he said undergoing the surgery was ‘the best decision I’ve ever made’.

He said: ‘I feel so much more comfortable than I’ve ever been.

‘I’ve felt male as far back as I can remember. Life is short and life is precious. This is who I am. I need to finally be who I am.’

He explained that the entire  transition from female to male will take about four to five years.

So far, his breasts have been removed and he has received hormone treatments to deepen his voice. And to his delight, he now has to shave his face.

As one commenter in the news article stated clearly:

What should be discussed as a psychiatric disorder is instead being celebrated, at least by this nutty girl and a few like-minded gawkers.

And another:

“Anyone can be confused and uncomfortable, have pieces removed and foreign pieces sewn on, and take hormones to change all sorts of things. It does not change what you were created to be. It only creates an illusion.”

Intolerance of Christianity and free speech:  National Day of Prayer ruled unconstitutional  & Franklin Graham disinvited to speak at Prayer event because of his views on Islam

Evangelist Franklin Graham prayed on a sidewalk outside the Pentagon Thursday after his invitation to a prayer service inside was withdrawn because of comments that insulted Muslims.

“It looks like Islam has gotten a pass,” he told reporters. “They are able to have their services, but just because I disagree … I’m excluded.”

Franklin Graham

Kudos to Graham for defending his beliefs and Jesus Christ and hanging tough amidst his Biblically prophetic outright persecution.  Since when is it not OK to profess the Christian faith and belief? Maybe since Obama said, “We are no longer a Christian Nation“. More Graham:

He (Graham) said he doesn’t believe “all religions are equal” and that there is only “one way to God” — and that is through Jesus.

Asked if he still believes Islam is evil, he said: “I believe the way they treat women is evil, yes I do.” And, can he understand how some of his comments would be offensive to Muslims? “Oh, I’m sure,” he said. “But I find what they teach and what they preach and what’s on the Internet — I find that to be offensive, too.”

Another moment in the press conference, he said people shouldn’t be offended because it’s simply a disagreement in what people believe.

Last time I checked, Franklin Graham runs an organization for helping the poor, downtrodden, and abused.  They are active in Haiti, Chile, Nashville and more currently helping with disasters.   He comes from perhaps the most ethical of families but is persecuted for calling evil what it is.  Islam is not a religion of love and helping fellow man, but is an authoritative one of suppression, threats, and violence and one that condemns those who disagree with its tenets.

Franklin Graham prays for Muslims with whom he disagrees.  But in Islam, Graham is an infidel and worthy of death.  Can the contrast be any more stark?

More snapshots  of your country in the news including High Unemployment, Immorality, boycotts for border laws, Presidential power grabs, entitlements run amok and sports star and Hollywood depravity:

Of course, not all is lost in America.  I hold out great hope that the uprising of American patriots will turn back the tide of this assault on America.

But reality is reality and these headlines are but a snapshot in time of our country right now.  Would the founders even recognize us anymore?  Just ponder the thought and think/pray about what it is that you might be able to offer to our country to change it back to what it was meant to be.

Shameful display of dhimmitude: Pentagon/Army disinvite Franklin Graham from speaking at National Day of Prayer event

Shameful!  I am truly sickened by the weakness our Pentagon has shown this week on this issue.

From Yahoo!News via Atlas Shrugs:

WASHINGTON – Christian evangelist Franklin Graham says the Army has withdrawn an invitation for him to appear at a special Pentagon prayer service.

In a statement Thursday, Graham said he regrets the Army’s decision and will continue to pray for the troops.

Graham, the son of famed evangelist Billy Graham, in 2001 described Islam as evil. More recently, he has said he finds Islam offensive and wants Muslims to know that Jesus Christ died for their sins.

So a Christian evangelist who has done more for the poor and tragic in this world than all Muslims combined is now silenced because he finds the actions of Muslims as offensive, even while praying for their souls?  What alternate universe do we now live in?

How is it wrong for an American Christian to call out Muslims on their treatment of women, their violent teachings and more?

Before the Pentagon decided to dis-invite Graham, Atlas Shrugs makes a great point in comparing the present-day killing of Jews and Christians, in the name of Islam, to the love spread by Franklin Graham.  No comparison.

Hate sponsor CAIR National Executive Director Nihad Awad said, “Franklin Graham’s appearance [at the Pentagon] has the potential to harm unit cohesion and morale through the promotion of distorted, intolerant and divisive views within military ranks.” Is Awad threatening us with another Major Hasan Fort Hood jihad massacre? There is an implied threat.

The jihadist infiltrators are feeling emboldened. You ain’t seen nuthin yet, brothers and sisters. The forces of darkness are pressuring the already compromised Pentagon to cancel Franklin Graham. I hope Graham brings recent pictures of all the Christians and Jews murdered at the hands of jihad in Nigeria, Indonesia, Somalia, Lebanon, Israel, Iran, etc., about which CAIR has been diabolically silent.

It’s OK for hateful and jihadist imams like Johari Abdul-Malik of the 911 terror mosque Dar al-Hijrah to give the opening prayer to the oldest elected state legislature at the state capital in Virginia, and it’s OK that Obama’s inauguration prayer was given by the president of  a terror linked organization … but Franklin Graham is the problem?

Franklin Graham is the solution. I pray he doesn’t submit to Islamic thuggery and supremacism and retract, or that the mighty Pentagon doesn’t quiver, cower, cry and cave to CAIR.

Franklin didn’t cower, but the Pentagon did, unfortunately.

Perhaps Sarah Palin, on her Facebook page, has said it best:

My, have things changed. I was honored to have Rev. Franklin Graham speak at my Governor’s Prayer Breakfasts. His good work in Alaska’s Native villages and his charitable efforts all over the world stem from his servant’s heart. In my years of knowing him, I’ve never found his tempered and biblically-based comments to be offensive – in fact his words have been encouraging and full of real hope.

It’s truly a sad day when such a fine patriotic man, whose son is serving on his fourth deployment in Afghanistan to protect our freedom of speech and religion, is dis-invited from speaking at the Pentagon’s National Day of Prayer service. His comments in 2001 were aimed at those who are so radical that they would kill innocent people and subjugate women in the name of religion.

Are we really so hyper-politically correct that we can’t abide a Christian minister who expresses his views on matters of faith? What a shame. Yes, things have changed.

- Sarah Palin

What a sad day when Christian voices are silenced in the name of Islam in America—and done so by the very military that is supposed to protect our rights to speak.  I’m shaking my head in shame.
Was it not Muslims that killed 3000 Americans on 9/11/01?  Is it not Muslims who have declared that Israel must be removed from the face of the earth?  Was it not followers of Islam who beheaded an American journalist and many others?
Would the military rather have invited a cleric/imam to speak out of “fairness”?  I’m sure that’s what CAIR would propose.  So next time just who will get to speak at such a prayer event in a country founded upon Judeo-Christian principles?
You know what offends me?  The very same groups (CAIR) and hyper-Muslims who NEVER speak out about the atrocities their followers perpetrate on innocents, but are “offended” by a few words and a man who calls them out on it.   He must be elminated from speaking!  Islam is a deceptive and dangerous religion…I agree with Frankin.  Americans caving to their demands and deception do none of us any favors in the end.
I’m sick of our government, leaders, and now, military caving to the demands of a religion whose main contribution to the world is war, violence, death, and fear.

It is a very rare moment when I would say this but shame on our Pentagon and our military today.

As a commenter at Atlas Shrug writes:
There are many in our midst who are of the darkness. They deceive, and are being deceived. Our only weapon against them is light, and truth which cannot be destroyed by darkness. ………… Do not lose heart, truth shall overcome in the end.
“You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”  John 8:32

‘They Need to Be Liberated From Their God’

The Wall Street Journal has an interesting article about Mosab Hassan Yousef, a spy for Israel and the son of the founder of Hamas, who converted to Christianity from Islam and now resides in low profile in Southern California.

He is seeking asylum in the US and tells the story of a good father and childhood. But after seeing the brutality of many Muslims in Hamas and other places, he decided to accept an offer from Israel to become a spy.  He spied for Israel for several years until he decided he was tired of spying in 2006.  By that time, he had converted to Christianity and has moved to the US.  His family has disowned him.

Here are some of his words in the article….but the whole read is very interesting from a Christian perspective but also because through Yousef we see can through one set of eyes from a non-violent Muslim and his conversion to Christianity.

About his turn from Islam to Christianity:

‘I absolutely know that in anybody’s eyes I was a traitor,” says Mosab Hassan Yousef. “To my family, to my nation, to my God. I crossed all the red lines in my society. I didn’t leave one that I didn’t cross.”

About Christianity’s lessons on love and caring:

“I converted to Christianity because I was convinced by Jesus Christ as a character, as a personality. I loved him, his wisdom, his love, his unconditional love. I didn’t leave [the Islamic] religion to put myself in another box of religion. At the same time it’s a beautiful thing to see my God exist in my life and see the change in my life. I see that when he does exist in other Middle Easterners there will be a change.

With that statement, my own thoughts turn to our founders and the fact that they established our country based on the moral values espoused in the Bible.   Our country has been well-served with those principles and has been a clear “change” from almost all other civilizations in history.  (Which is why we must continue fighting Obama’s anti-freedom agenda with all we have…but that is a post for another day)

With that foundation, and through the resolve of President George W Bush, we’ve eliminated an evil regime and established a fledgling democracy in Iraq based on a moral law of individual freedom and government of the people.  Perhaps the very extension of our Judeo-Christian-based system into the Middle East and the recent successful elections in Iraq are proof that Yousef’s statement on God’s love and wisdom and accompanying change is accurate.

More on Yousef’s view of Christianity:

“I’m not trying to convert the entire nation of Israel and the entire nation of Palestine to Christianity. But at least if you can educate them about the ideology of love, the ideology of forgiveness, the ideology of grace. Those principles are great regardless, but we can’t deny they came from Christianity as well.”

On Islam’s violent “god” and the ideological war we are fighting:

As the son of a Muslim cleric, he says he had reached the conclusion that terrorism can’t be defeated without a new understanding of Islam. ……

…….Do you consider your father a fanatic? “He’s not a fanatic,” says Mr. Yousef. “He’s a very moderate, logical person. What matters is not whether my father is a fanatic or not, he’s doing the will of a fanatic God. It doesn’t matter if he’s a terrorist or a traditional Muslim. At the end of the day a traditional Muslim is doing the will of a fanatic, fundamentalist, terrorist God. I know this is harsh to say. Most governments avoid this subject. They don’t want to admit this is an ideological war.

and the lies of Islam:

“The problem is not in Muslims,” he continues. “The problem is with their God. They need to be liberated from their God. He is their biggest enemy. It has been 1,400 years they have been lied to.”

And the very fact that Yousef lives under the veil of continued threat against his life clearly exhibits the difference between what he describes as the lying God of Islam and the loving God of Christianity.  For simply speaking out against his former religion, the followers of Islam, including his family, are taught to hate him, if not eliminate him.

Quote of the Day – Mark Steyn

Few can express a view quite like Mark Steyn. (Read his whole piece on the clash of Islam and the West):

Barack Obama has spent the last year doing bigtime Islamoschmoozing, from his announcement of Gitmo’s closure and his investigation of Bush officials to his bow before the Saudi King and a speech in Cairo to “the Muslim world” with far too many rhetorical concessions and equivocations. And at the end of it, the jihad sent America a thank-you note by way of Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab’s underwear: Hey, thanks for all the outreach! But we’re still gonna kill you…..

……Last November [2008], the electorate voted in effect to repudiate the previous eight years and seemed genuinely under the delusion that wars end when one side decides it’s all a bit of a bore and they’d rather the government spend the next eight years doing to health care and the economy what they were previously doing to jihadist camps in Waziristan.

9/11/01 – We can never forget

We remember those who died, those who lost loved ones, and those who have fought against the evil that perpetrated this atrocity.

Never forget what terrorists did on that day.

I just finished watching the movie United 93 this morning….as my husband said, ‘This is how you remember what happened!”

Indeed it is.

Horrifying to watch and emotional to this day.

God Bless those who fought off the evil subhumans on that plane in Shanksville, Pennsylvania 9-11-01.
Never, ever forget what happened to those who died in New York, Washington DC, and Pennsylvania…it was horrific and words can’t do it justice.

God Bless our Military who have worked tirelessly to fight the evil that is terrorism.

God Bless our brave firefighters, police officers and other emergency personnel who also gave the ultimate sacrifice on that day.

God Bless President George W. Bush who magnificently led us through the worst attack on our soil.  He deserves so much credit…much more than he has been given.

God Bless the USA.

Remembering the sobering events of the Beslan massacre five years ago today

beslan5 cross in handGod Bless the little souls lost in School Number One in Beslan, Russia on September 1, 2004….at the hands of Islamic fundamentalism.

From Gateway Pundit:

It was the first day of school.

A group of 32 armed Chechen separatists and Islamic fundamentalists, including one Saudinational, took more than 1,200 schoolchildren and adults hostage at School Number One (SNO) in the town of Beslan, North Ossetia-Alania.

Little did the children and parents know what the next 56 hours would bring.

……..Guns, wires, and bombs.
During the siege the terrorists separated young girls from the other children and took them out of the gym to be raped. The Islamists forced their hostages to clean up blood off the floors from the dead children and adults. It was so hot the children were forced to strip off their new clothes. They drank their own urine to stay alive. They were not allowed to move. After the explosions in the gym one boy dragged his younger brother through the halls. He pulled his limp body through a broken window……

…..When the school blew up, one of the children was blown outside.
The child climbed back into the school to be with her teacher. The photographer who took this picture said later that, after she had climbed back in, he never saw her again.

Shortly after that the roof collapsed…………

……The attack ended Sept. 3 when Russian forces stormed the school after explosions were heard inside…..

Watch this touching video if your heart can take it…

The grief those left behind is immense and I’m sure will endure forever.

Tragic. Senseless. Evil acts.

I’ve shed a tear each time I watch the videos and see and read pictures of the events that day.  Literally sickens me.

Perhaps its the mom in me….or the sheer grief of those people.

Perhaps its the fear of it happening to our kids…

Imagine our country and our children….could it happen here?

Dead children - Beslan massacre 9/1/2004

Hardly a week, sometimes even a day, goes by that I don’t remember the children of Beslan when I take my own kids to school.

Pray for those little souls and those left behind to pick up the pieces after such evil.

God rest their little souls.

Senator Inhofe says what many are thinking: “I just don’t know whose side he’s on…”

In response to Obama’s Muslim-coddling and apologies for America during his speech at Cairo, Eqypt last week, Senator Jim Inhofe (R-OK) makes a statement that most of us are thinking:

“I just don’t know whose side he’s on…”

Now, of course, several of the group-thinking leftists in the blogosphereare simply appalled. Most are spewing hateful insults to Inhofe without really debating the facts about Obama’s policies and what Inhofe actually said.  That is largely because much of the time blinded Obama supporters and Leftists (not necessarily mutually exclusive) can’t argue based on the facts.

Here is what Infofe said:

Sen. Jim Inhofe said today that President Barack Obama’s speech in Cairo was “un-American” because he referred to the war in Iraq as “a war of choice” and didn’t criticize Iran for developing a nuclear program. Inhofe, R-Tulsa, also criticized the president for suggesting that torture was conducted at the military prison in Guantanamo, saying, “There has never been a documented case of torture at Guantanamo.” …. “I just don’t know whose side he’s on,” Inhofe said of the president.

Frankly, many of us, including those in government roles, have had similar thoughts.  While we, nor Inhofe, at this point, could prove or even outright state that Obama is squarely on the side of our enemies, it is a rational thought to wonder which side he is on.

There are several ways to look at it – is he on the side of freedom or oppression? for or against the rights of Muslim women?  supportive of his country’s history and Constitution or ashamed of it in such a way that our country must be radically “changed”?

Here’s a few more thoughts in that direction in analyzing just whose side Obama sounds like he is on:

Why does Obama, for all the world to see, choose to validate “the Muslim world”, but says his own country is not a Christian nation or even acknowledge its Judeo-Christian roots?

The Asia Times had a response to Obama’s Cairo speech that hits the nail on the head regarding Obama’s validation of the “Muslim World”:

The Asia Timessaid Obama made a mistake by speaking in Cairo. “Why should the president of the United States address the ‘Muslim world?,” it asked. “What would happen if the leader of a big country addressed the ‘Christian world’? Half the world would giggle and the other half would sulk.”

“To speak to the ‘Muslim world’ is to speak not to a fact, but rather to an aspiration,” the paper stated, “and that is the aspiration that Islam shall be a global state religion as its founders intended. To address this aspiration is to breathe life into it. For an American president to validate such an aspiration is madness.”

Does Obama love his country or does he hold such disdain for the greatest country on earth that he can’t help but apologize and put us on equal footing with “The Muslim World” – particularly the part of that “world” that uses violence to spread its nasty tentacles throughout the Middle East, Europe and around the world?

Mark Steyn says it best about Obama addressing the “Muslim World”, as if the “Muslim World” is somehow on par with a sovereign and free nation, the United States.

Overseas, the coolest president in history was giving a speech. Or, as the official press release headlined it on the State Department Web site, “President Obama Speaks To The Muslim World From Cairo.”

Let’s pause right there: It’s interesting how easily the words “the Muslim world” roll off the tongues of liberal secular progressives who’d choke on any equivalent reference to “the Christian world.” When such hyperalert policemen of the perimeter between church and state endorse the former but not the latter, they’re implicitly acknowledging that Islam is not merely a faith but a political project, too. There is an “Organization of the Islamic Conference,” which is already the largest single voting bloc at the United Nations and is still adding new members. Imagine if someone proposed an “Organization of the Christian Conference” that would hold summits attended by prime ministers and Presidents, and vote as a bloc in transnational bodies. But, of course, there is no “Christian world”: Europe is largely post-Christian and, as President Barack Obama bizarrely asserted to a European interviewer last week, America is “one of the largest Muslim countries in the world.” Perhaps we’re eligible for membership in the OIC.

Mark Steyn also hits on Obama’s continued apologies for his own country:

Once Obama moved on from the more generalized Islamoschmoozing to the details, the subtext – the absence of American will – became explicit. He used the cover of multilateralism and moral equivalence to communicate, consistently, American weakness: “No single nation should pick and choose which nations hold nuclear weapons.” Perhaps by “no single nation” he means the “global community” should pick and choose, which means the U.N. Security Council, which means the Big Five, which means that Russia and China will pursue their own murky interests and that, in the absence of American leadership, Britain and France will reach their accommodations with a nuclear Iran, a nuclear North Korea and any other psychostate minded to join them.

Is Obama clearly ignorant of Islam in our early history or he is being disingenous, at best, with the facts of our history?  He portrayed Islam as something embraced by our forefathers, when, in reality, they were studious of Islam in an effort to understand their enemy even then.  Obama had this to say in his speech in Cairo:

Islam has always been a part of America’s story. The first nation to recognize my country was Morocco. In signing the Treaty of Tripoli in 1796, our second President John Adams wrote, “The United States has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion or tranquility of Muslims.” … And when the first Muslim-American was recently elected to Congress, he took the oath to defend our Constitution using the same Holy Koran that one of our Founding Fathers – Thomas Jefferson – kept in his personal library.

From   Andy McCarthy at National Review, the history of Jefferson’s Koran is centered around Jefferson’s need to understand his enemy, not because he embraced the words of the Koran.  Obama’s reference to Keith Ellison’s use of Jefferson’s Koran is wholly disengenuous and his history is revisionist, just as it was when Ellison touted the fact at his inauguratoin.

[I]n 1786, the new United States found that it was having to deal very directly with the tenets of the Muslim religion. The Barbary states of North Africa (or, if you prefer, the North African provinces of the Ottoman Empire, plus Morocco) were using the ports of today’s Algeria, Libya, and Tunisia to wage a war of piracy and enslavement against all shipping that passed through the Strait of Gibraltar. Thousands of vessels were taken, and more than a million Europeans and Americans sold into slavery. The fledgling United States of America was in an especially difficult position, having forfeited the protection of the British Royal Navy. Under this pressure, Congress gave assent to the Treaty of Tripoli, ….

The conclusion on why Thomas Jefferson owned a Koran is best summed up by David Barton in “An Historical Perspective on a Muslim Being Sworn into Congress on the Koran

Recall that Jefferson had been personally exposed to Islamic beliefs when attempting to secure peace between America and Muslim terrorists. Having been told by the Muslim Ambassador that the Koran promised Paradise as a reward for enslaving, killing, and war, Jefferson inquired into the irrational beliefs that motivated the Muslim groups and individuals warring against America.

Is Obama for or against freedom?  Is it freedom in the Muslim world for women to wear the hajib?  Or, more correctly, is it freedom for women to have the choice to wear the hajib or not?  Most Muslim cultures and states dictate (through violence, death and other means) what the women wear, who they may converse with, who they may marry, and almost every aspect of their lives…..but Obama says that the US will fight for the woman’s right to where the hajib?!?!

Caroline Glick makes this point:

He spoke of the need to grant equality to women without making mention of common Islamic practices like so-called honor killings, and female genital mutilation. He ignored the fact that throughout the lands of Islam women are denied basic legal and human rights. And then he qualified his statement by mendaciously claiming that women in the US similarly suffer from an equality deficit. In so discussing this issue, Obama sent the message that he couldn’t care less about the plight of women in the Islamic world.

Is he for or against the rights of Israel, our allies, to maintain its land and its growth in the settlements?  Obama wants a two-state solution where Israel gives up its land to those who have already stated that Israel has no right to exist.

Mark Steyn shreds the notion that we must stop the growth of Israel into the settlements:

On the other hand, a “single nation” certainly has the right to tell another nation anything it wants if that nation happens to be the Zionist Entity: As Hillary Clinton just instructed Israel regarding its West Bank communities, there has to be “a stop to settlements – not some settlements, not outposts, not natural-growth exceptions.” No “natural growth”? You mean, if you and the missus have a kid, you’ve got to talk gran’ma into moving out? To Tel Aviv, or Brooklyn or wherever? At a stroke, the administration has endorsed “the Muslim world’s” view of those non-Muslims who happen to find themselves within what it regards as lands belonging to Islam: the Jewish and Christian communities are free to stand still or shrink, but not to grow.Would Obama be comfortable mandating “no natural growth” to Israel’s million-and-a-half Muslims? No. But the administration has embraced “the Muslim world’s” commitment to one-way multiculturalism, whereby Islam expands in the West but Christianity and Judaism shrivel remorselessly in the Middle East.

It is disheartening to endure the apologies for this country made by our President.  This country, almost from its inception, has been the beacon of good in the world.  Domestically, in a few short months of this administration’s policies, we are already weary of unconstitutional takeover of private companies, union political paybacks, and “change” to a bankrupt, Socialist nation….all being implemented at lightning speed….

And we’ve yet to even endure Obama’s healthcare takeover with accompanying rationing and taxes, energy tax, and the repercussions of his “sudden” Muslim roots and awakening — and now the coddling of “the Muslim World” and their anti-freedom mindset –people who will no more respect this country than Obama seems to respect our Judeo-Christian history, traditions, and US Constitution.

In reference to immigration, Teddy Roosevelt had this to say about allegiance and loyalty to one’s country back in 1919:

“…..this is predicated upon the person’s becoming in every facet an American and nothing but an American….There can be no divided allegiance here.  We have room for but one flag (in this country)….We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language, for we intend to see that the crucible turns our people out as Americans, of American nationality, and not as dwellers in a polyglot boarding-house; and we have room for but one soul loyalty, and that is loyalty to the American people.”

In a different twist on Inhofe’s statement, my question is:  Where does Obama’s one soul loyalty lie?

You can tell alot about a man by the “friends” he keeps…

Yep, even in diplomacy, it’s true that you can tell alot about the man and his policies by looking at who calls him friend (or comrade, as the case may be) AND who the reciprocating Obama calls “my man”.

Who are some of those people who just love our new Far-Left Socialist President?  (Oh, and the feeling seems to be very mutual)

luiz-inacio-lula-da-silvaLuiz Inacio Lula da Silva , the Brazilian president-founder of the “Worker’s Party, a  center-left social-democratic political party according to Wikipedia.

From The Heritage Foundation via  Michelle Malkin:

Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, March 27, 2009: This is a crisis that was caused by white people with blue eyes. And before the crisis, they looked as if they knew everything about economics.

Obama via Associated Press, April 2, 2009:   During a lunch at the Group of 20 summit in London, Obama shook hands with President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and said: “This is my man, right here. I love this guy.”

dmitry-medvedevDmitry Medvedev of Russia – From Michelle Malkin:

Russia’s Dmitry Medvedev hailed Barack Obama as “my new comrade” Thursday after their first face-to-face talks.

Definition of Comrade from WikiComrade means “friend”, “colleague”, or “ally”, often with a military or left-wing political connotation. The term was also used by Italian Fascists and the German Nazi Party

king-abdullah-of-saudi-arabiaKing Abdullah of Saudi Arabia -

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques,a title taken by the King of Saudi Arabia in his role as protector of the two holiest cities of Islam, Mecca and Medina, which had traditionally been the role of the Caliph. (From Wiki)  He is king of a country that is an authoritarian country with a Quranic Constitution and one that embraces Sharia-law.

Obama took a deep bow to this monarch (an amazingly bizarre act) a few days ago.  Historically this move symbolizes the monarch’s power over its subjects.   Apparently, Obama doesn’t mind America and himself being viewed as secondary, foot-lickers to Saudi Arabia and the King….’cause Gosh, I like you, King Abdullah.

Let’s not forget Obama’s other outstanding friends:

Bill Ayers, Reverend Jeremiah Wright, Tony Rezko, Michelle Obama, Saul Alinsky, …and on and on…

Yep, you can tell a lot about a man by the friends he keeps.

Marine Veteran speaks truth

I can not add a thing to the perfect truth of this Veteran.  From Blackfive via Ace of Spades:

“I’m Tired” by Robert A. Hall

I’ll be 63 soon.  Except for one semester in college when jobs were scarce, and a six-month period when I was between jobs, but job-hunting every day, I’ve worked, hard, since I was 18.  Despite some health challenges, I still put in 50-hour weeks, and haven’t called in sick in seven or eight years.

I make a good salary, but I didn’t inherit my job or my income, and I worked to get where I am.  Given the economy, there’s no retirement in sight, and I’m tired.  Very tired.

I’m tired of being told that I have to “spread the wealth around” to people who don’t have my work ethic.  I’m tired of being told the government will take the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy or stupid to earn it.

I’m tired of being told that I have to pay more taxes to “keep people in their homes.”  Sure, if they lost their jobs or got sick, I’m willing to help. But if they bought McMansions at three times the price of our paid-off, $250,000 condo, on one-third of my salary, then let the left-wing Congress-critters who passed Fannie and Freddie and the Community Reinvestment Act that created the bubble help them-with their own money.

I’m tired of being told how bad America is by left-wing millionaires like Michael Moore, George Soros, and  Hollywood  entertainers who live in luxury because of the opportunities  America  offers.  In thirty years, if they get their way, the  United States will have the religious freedom and women’s rights of  Saudi Arabia , the economy of Zimbabwe, the freedom of the press of  China , the crime, and violence of  Mexico, the tolerance for Gay people of  Iran , and the freedom of speech of  Venezuela .  Won’t multiculturalism be beautiful?

I’m tired of being told that Islam is a “Religion of Peace,” when every day I can read dozens of stories of Muslim men killing their sisters, wives and daughters for their family “honor;” of Muslims rioting over some slight offense; of Muslims murdering Christian and Jews because they a ren’t “believers;” of Muslims burning schools for girls; of Muslims stoning teenage rape victims to death for “adultery;” of Muslims mutilating the genitals of little girls; all in the name of Allah, because the Qur’an and Shari’a law tells them to.

I believe “a man should be judged by the content of his character, not by the color of his skin.”  I’m tired of being told that “race doesn’t matter” in the post-racial world of President Obama, when it’s all that matters in affirmative action jobs, lower college admission and graduation standards for minorities (harming them the most), government contract set-asides, tolerance for the ghetto culture of violence and fatherless children that hurts minorities more than anyone, and in the appointment of US Senators from Illinois.  I think it’s very cool that we have a black president and that a black child is doing her homework at the desk where Lincoln wrote the emancipation proclamation.  I just wish the black president was Condi Rice, or someone who believes more in freedom and the individual and less in an all-knowing government.

I’m tired of a news media that thinks Bush’s fundraising and inaugural expenses were obscene, but that think Obama’s, at triple the cost, were wonderful.  That thinks Bush exercising daily was a waste of presidential time, but Obama exercising is a great example for the public to control weight and stress, that picked over every line of Bush’s military records, but never demanded that Kerry release his, that slammed Palin with two years as governor for being too inexperienced for VP, but touted Obama with three years as senator as potentially the best president ever. Wonder why people are dropping their subscriptions or switching to Fox News?  Get a clue.  I didn’t vote for Bush in 2000, but the media and Kerry drove me to his camp in 2004.

I’m tired of being told that out of “tolerance for other cultures” we must let Saudi Arabia use our oil money to fund mosques and madrassa Islamic schools to preach hate in America, while no American group is allowed to fund a church, synagogue, or religious school in Saudi Arabia to teach love and tolerance.

I’m tired of being told I must lower my living standard to fight global warming, which no one is allowed to debate.  My wife and I live in a two-bedroom apartment and carpool together five miles to our jobs.  We also own a three-bedroom condo where our daughter and granddaughter live.  Our carbon footprint is about 5% of Al Gore’s, and if you’re greener than Gore, you’re green enough.

I’m tired of being told that drug addicts have a disease, and I must help support and treat them, and pay for the damage they do.  Did a giant germ rush out of a dark alley, grab them, and stuff white powder up their noses while they tried to fight it off?  I don’t t hink Gay people choose to be Gay, but I damn sure think druggies chose to take drugs.  And I’m tired of harassment from cool people treating me like a freak when I tell them I never tried marijuana.

I’m tired of illegal aliens being called “undocumented workers,” especially the ones who aren’t working, but are living on welfare or crime.  What’s next?  Calling drug dealers, Undocumented Pharmacists”?  And, no, I’m not against Hispanics.  Most of them are Catholic and it’s been a few hundred years since Catholics wanted to kill me for my religion.  I’m willing to fast track for citizenship any Hispanic person, who can speak English, doesn’t have a criminal record and who is self-supporting without family on welfare, or who serves honorably for three years in our military.  Those are the citizens we need.

I’m tired of latte liberals and journalists, who would never wear the uniform of the Republic themselves, or let their entitlement-handicapped kids near a recruiting station, trashing our military.  They and their kids can sit at home, never having to make split-second decisions under life and death circumstances, and bad mouth better people then themselves.  Do bad things happen in war?  You bet.  Do our troops sometimes misbehave?  Sure. Does this compare with the atrocities that were the policy of our enemies for the last fifty years-and still are?  Not even close.  So here’s the deal.  I’ll let myself be subjected to all the humiliation and abuse that was heaped on terrorists at Abu Ghraib or Gitmo, and the critics can let themselves be subject to captivity by the Muslims who tortured and beheaded Daniel Pearl in Pakistan, or the Muslims who tortured and murdered Marine Lt. Col. William Higgins in Lebanon, or the Muslims who ran the blood-spattered Al Qaeda torture rooms our troops found in Iraq, or the Muslims who cut off the heads of schoolgirls in Indonesia, because the girls were Christian. Then we’ll compare notes.  British and American soldiers are the only troops in history that civilians came to for help and handouts, instead of hiding from in fear.

I’m tired of people telling me that their party has a corner on virtue and the other party has a corner on corruption.  Read the papers-bums are bipartisan.  And I’m tired of people telling me we need bipartisanship.  I live in  Illinois , where the “Illinois Combine” of Democrats and Republicans has worked together harmoniously to loot the public for years.  And I notice that the tax cheats in Obama’s cabinet are bipartisan as well.

I’m tired of hearing wealthy athletes, entertainers, and politicians of both parties talking about innocent mistakes, stupid mistakes or youthful mistakes, when we all know they think their only mistake was getting caught.  I’m tired of people with a sense of entitlement, rich or poor.

Speaking of poor, I’m tired of hearing people with air-conditioned homes, color TV s and two cars called poor. The majority of Americans didn’t have that in 1970, but we didn’t know we were “poor.”  The poverty pimps have to keep changing the definition of poor to keep the dollars flowing.

I’m real tired of people who don’t take responsibility for their lives and actions.  I’m tired of hearing them blame the government, or discrimination, or big-whatever for their problems.

Yes, I’m damn tired.  But I’m also glad to be 63.  Because, mostly, I’m not going to get to see the world these people are making.  I’m just sorry for my granddaughter.

SOS Clinton seeks to “improve US Image” with Muslims abroad

Hey, Mrs. Clinton, how’s about turning that around and working on that image of Muslims in the US?  Perhaps they may have some responsibility for American attitudes toward Muslims? Ya think?

Clinton, remember this?

Clinton, remember this?

Could it be that the atrocity of 9-11 and Muslims celebrating in the streets was not exactly the kind of relations you seek between us?  Of perhaps the Muslims in our country who couldn’t bring themselves to denounce this savage act of murder?

Or perhaps it might  even be those “moderate” Muslims, even on our own soil, who murder their wives by beheading —  all for “honor”?

Or maybe, just maybe, it is just barbaric, self-mutilation in the name of Allah that keeps that bond a little loose between Americans and the Islamic World?

Headline From MyWayNews – Clinton seeks to improve US image with Muslims:

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton pledged a new American openness to ideas from abroad, especially the Muslim world, during a visit Wednesday to Indonesia…..

……Indonesia, the world’s most populous Muslim nation, is the second stop in Clinton’s inaugural overseas trip as the top U.S. diplomat. She said that was “no accident,” with the trip designed to show support for the country’s hard-won democracy as well as its efforts to fight terrorism while respecting human rights.

Steps were already being taken to improve relations, she said, announcing at a joint press conference with Foreign Minister Hassan Wirajuda that Peace Corps operations were expected to resume here after a long absence….

….

Though most of the country’s 190 million Muslims practice a moderate form of the faith, public anger ran high over U.S. policy in the Middle East and the invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan during the Bush administration, fueling a small but increasingly vocal fundamentalist fringe.

According to Clinton and the pacifist Left’s view, we must improve OUR image with the MODERATE Muslims who think the US is evil for establishing freedom and democracy for millions oppressed by a savage dictator we chased into a foxhole, tried, and hanged…. and a barbaric group called the Taliban….

And then there’s this.  The foreign minister in Indonesia, where Clinton visited today, says this:

Wirajuda agreed, saying, “We have proven here democracy, Islam and modernity can go hand in hand.”

The next paragraph explaining just how well that’s going with those “moderates” in Indonesia:

The militant group Jemaah Islamiyah has carried out a series of suicide bombings targeting Western interests in Indonesia since 2002, killing more than 240 people, many of them foreign tourists. But experts say a crackdown has severely weakened the movement; the last attack occurred more than three years ago.

And even during Clinton’s visit, that Islamic harmony was apparent:

Security was tight for Clinton’s visit, with 2,800 police deployed in the capital along with members of the army, according to local police. Witnesses saw scattered protests and at least five people were detained by police following a rowdy rally by 200 Muslim university students in front of the U.S. Embassy.

Some protesters sets tires on fire in a city on the capital’s outskirts and others screamed “Hillary is terrorist.”

Oh, and Clinton has a rule to bash Bush  at least once in every country she visits.  Indonesia was no exception:

One of Clinton’s goals in Indonesia is to stress the growing importance of a region that often felt slighted by the Bush administration.

I guess the following examples don’t count….but then again, we are increasingly a country of “those feeling slighted” ourselves despite billions of dollars of debt-financed “help” being thrown our way.

But what did we expect from an Obama Presidency and Clinton State Department?  It’s as if we were never attacked….9/10 appeasement Lefties in a post 9/11 world.

God Be With Us!
