How will it all be enforced?
Oh, it also will result in the hiring of 12,000 NEW IRS agents, (you know, that whole “compliance” thing with the new insurance mandates).
Surprise…Surprise.
Again, these are just some of the surprises in this massive bill that the vast majority of the American public has no idea about. And in spite of that, they’re still overwhelmingly against the bill. Which gives you a pretty good idea why politicians like to do things like this in big bills few people will read.
This bill is digusting at many levels: attacks on liberty, bribery, corruption, Socialism, taxes, power, lying, rationing and on and on.

SRT: It is an absolute disgrace that allegedly 40,000+ Catholic nuns have endorsed Obamacare because they are “satisfied” with the abortion language in the Senate bill. I’m not Catholic but shame on them! Where has the Catholic church been on this fight? They are putting “social theology” (as opposed to liberation theology in the 70s) ahead of the Christian principle that life begins at conception. If this bill passed, the leadership of the Catholic Church will have blood on its hands. Benedict 16 should throw them out of their orders. May God forgive them because I can’t.
Boria – It is quite baffling that a Christian, much less a Catholic Christian, would support this bill.
God created us in His image as individuals with free will. Seems SOME in the Catholic church believes the “collective” is more important than the individual….even in matters of life and death.
You make a great point about Catholic leadership. I know there are many who oppose this mess in leadership and members of the Catholic church. But it is inexplicable that Catholic nuns could endorse it.
Where did you get that information?
On the radio. FoxNews, who else? Here is just one article from the very liberal Seattle Times
Thursday, March 18, 2010 –
Nuns’ support for health-care bill shows church split. Please Google: nuns support health care bill. Dozens of articles will come up. I was wrong the # is 59,000 nuns… or 90% of nuns… By the way I have a theory about women in the priesthood/habit… too controversial for public consumption! Nothing to do with orientation/proclivity.
Cheers!
