Obama says America is a Muslim country – should we be surprised?

Hundreds of bloggers tried to get the point across before the election:  Obama experienced a clearly Muslim background while growing up and, present day, is, at the very least, a HUGE Muslim sympathizer or a closet-Muslim himself. 

During the campaign anyone who talked about Obama’s Muslim roots or even used his middle name were lambasted by the Obama campaign and directly called “bitter clingers”.

and today, Obama claims that  America is a Muslim nation:

In an interview with Laura Haim on Canal Plus, a French television station, Mr. Obama noted that the United States also could be considered as “one of the largest Muslim countries in the world.”…

Slap yourself…yes, eight years after 19 terrorists attacked us within our borders, we are now living in a country where our President not only has catered to radical Muslim nations and leaders (think hundred of millions of dollars to Palestinians and talking to Iran for starters), but now claims we are a large Muslim nation.

As a one blogger noted:  “Obama, your roots are showing!”

Or on the topic of America as a Muslim Nation, Jihad Watch also says:  “Is that  an observation or a wish?”

As Michelle Malkin points out, we are not even close to being a “large” Muslim nation.  Here is a link to a map of the top 10 largest Muslim nations in the world.

And statistics from Jihad Watch:

Indonesia: 200 million Muslims. India: 156 million Muslims. Pakistan: 150 million Muslims.

United States: 2.3 million Muslims (according to the Pew Research Center).

Now, in recent days and in preparation for Obama’s Middle East American Apology Tour, members of Obama’s administration and Obama himself have pointed out Obama’s sympathies and background rooted in Islam….some which contradict what Obama himself claimed during the campaign.  From Jake Tapper at ABC:

During a conference call in preparation for President Obama’s trip to Cairo, Egypt, where he will address the Muslim world, deputy National Security Adviser for Strategic Communications Denis McDonough said “the President himself experienced Islam on three continents before he was able to — or before he’s been able to visit, really, the heart of the Islamic world — you know, growing up in Indonesia, having a Muslim father — obviously Muslim Americans (are) a key part of Illinois and Chicago.”

This is what Obama claimed during the campaign:

The candidate’s comment at a Boca Raton, Florida, town hall meeting on May 22, 2008, was typical: “My father was basically agnostic, as far as I can tell, and I didn’t know him,” he said.

In September 2008, candidate Obama told a Pennsylvania crowd, “I know that I’m not your typical presidential candidate and I just want to be honest with you. I know that the temptation is to say, ‘You know what? The guy hasn’t been there that long in Washington. You know, he’s got a funny name. You know, we’re not sure about him.’ And that’s what the Republicans when they say this isn’t about issues, it’s about personalities, what they’re really saying is,‘We’re going to try to scare people about Barack. So we’re going to say that, you know, maybe he’s got Muslim connections.’…Just making stuff up.”

I’d say Obama is the one who was “just making stuff up.”  And he continues to do so.

If you had any doubts about Obama’s Muslim roots and his sympathies to the Religion of Pieces Religion of Peace—then doubt no more!  But also remember that as much as he connects with Islam, and despite his claims of ties to Christianity, Obama has as much disrespect for our Judeo-Christian roots as he does respect for the Islamic world.

This is the same President who said they following when speaking in Turkey in April:

…..”one of the great strengths of the United States” is that it does not consider itself “a Christian nation or a Jewish nation or a Muslim nation. We consider ourselves a nation of citizens who are bound by ideals and a set of values. I think modern Turkey was founded with a similar set of principles.”

Obama also said this….from Pundit and Pundette:

“We will convey our deep appreciation for the Islamic faith, which has done so much over so many centuries to shape the world for the better, including my own country,” Obama said

Like Pundit and Pundette, I say “WHAT?   HUH?”  —– Not only did Obama diss his own JUDEO-CHRISTIAN nation in that line, but claims that Islam has “done so much for so many” over the centuries!   I say he should ask all of those headless figures and those women with mutilated genitals what they think of all of that “good” Islam has contributed to the world!

My fellow citizens…we are in a country turned upside down.  It’s been coming for a long time and has culminated in the election of our first anti-American,  Marxist, Islamic-bred President.  I’d say these times are monumental….pray for our country….and yes, even for our misguided President and his family.

Obama, where art thou? Where is your “outrage” over the murder of a military man by a Muslim?

On Sunday a well-know late term abortionist, George Tiller, was murdered.  Obama responded within hours at his outrage for the murder of one who has killed at least 60,000 babies in the womb….late in the pregnancy.

On Monday, a young military recruiter was gunned down in Little Rock, Arkansas by a Muslim convert who hates the US Military.

Obama has yet to condemn the murder or to even attempt a feigned outrage at the murder of one of America’s finest…a military man.  Nor has he made a statement against the Muslim man who did it. (and who, perhaps, had more of the same planned.)

Those wondering how long it would take for the first act of terrorism to be perpetrated on American soil under President Barack Obama did not have to wait long. The murder of a U.S. military recruiter by a Muslim convert in Arkansas yesterday marks the return of the war on terror to America after just four months of the new Administration’s systematic dismantling of the policies and programs that kept the nation safe for over seven years under the Bush Administration…..

……Obama has not expressed “shock and outrage;” has not offered condolences to Pvt. William A. Long’s family or Pvt. Quinton Ezeagwula, the other soldier injured in the attack; and has not expressed the nation’s resolve – to say nothing of his Administration’s – to continue to fight radical Islamic terrorists wherever they may be found.

Of course, while Tiller’s murderer did not have the right to take the life of the doctor, it was the first murder of an abortion doctor in the US in over a decade. 

 However, it is clear that a pattern has been forming in recent years around Muslim converts who wish to do harm to Americans….the latest one succeeding!   Think back a few weeks ago and the arrest of Muslims who thought they were about to blow up a synagogue in New York.

But a pattern of Muslims targeting Americans doesn’t receive the same claim of “outrage” from Obama nor his willing accomplices in the media.  Instead millions of conservatives and pro-lifers are practically accused of holding the gun that shot Tiller, while the media and Obama are silent on the murder of a military man by a Muslim inside our own borders!

Again, RedState.com, assesses the situation well:

Yesterday, a gunman murdered one soldier and wounded another outside a recruiting station in Kansas. There’s little surprise that the left, like their President, haven’t much to say about the murdered soldier. The anti-war left has been creating a climate of hate with regard to our troops individually and our military at large for years, with an increasingly brazen messagethe last few years. Blogs which continue to wring hands over fears of right-wing “hate” in the form of prime time cable news pundits can’t spare a pixel or two to reflect on the environment they’ve helped create spending 5 years calling our men and women in uniform murderers, rapists, and baby-killers. I’d normally advise against, but today I suggest you take a few minutes and peruse that liberal flagshipto see the mixture of “hate” and “fear of hate” blogs. Enlightening.

You have to wonder whose side Obama and the media are on….when a well-know doctor whose murdered 60,000 babies is himself murdered by a crazy person they paint a wide swath of conservative, pro-life Americans as “guilty”.  Yet we have a Muslim man kill an American soldier on our soil in a brazen, broad-daylight attack and there is nothing to talk about. 

Hypocritical, Abortion-loving, anti-military Obama and his cohorts are doing their liberal best to break our country and the spirit of its citizens.

Upon the murder on Sunday of George Tiller, the late-term abortionist, we have all been treated to fanatical words and reviews of how pro-life citizens and media figures caused the murder.  See for yourself:

Why we have even been given the privilege of another mini-speech from Obama on the topic a few hours after the incident:

“I am shocked and outraged by the murder of Dr. George Tiller as he attended church services this morning,” Obama said in a statement issued by the White House this evening.

“However profound our differences as Americans over difficult issues such as abortion,” the president said, “they cannot be resolved by heinous acts of violence.”

Of course Obama’s statement is entirely predictable.  Obama is THE most pro-abortion President ever.  He has stood his ground in the past that a baby born alive from a botched abortion should not be saved….he believes it undermines the doctor’s authority.  Obama is not only pro-abortion, but pro-infanticide.

Isn’t it ironic that even at his speech at Notre Dame a couple of weeks ago, Obama couldn’t muster the same outrage at the murders of millions of babies in the womb that he has shown for the murder of Dr. Tiller? (But has yet to show for a murdered military recruiter 2 days after the very public murder?)

While his murderer was in no way justified in taking justice into his own hands, Dr. Tiller was responsible, by his own admission, for 60,000 LATE TERM abortions.   In other words, those same babies, in all likelihood, could have lived outside the womb…..a trip of about 6-10 inches further and those babies would be alive today.  Instead Dr. Tiller poked scissors into their skulls and murdered them at their mothers’ requests before they could “make the trip”.

And so the abortion debate goes on….Of course, deranged liberals blame pro-lifers for Tiller’s murder as noted above.  Others on the blogs are having mostly civil discussions on the topic. I’ve written comments on a couple of blogs since Tiller’s murder.  One blogger, Patterico in particular, linked an articlethat debated whether abortion is murder, and if so, why don’t we call the mother a murderer?  The blogger also said he is not an “absolutist” on the issue of abortion and whether it is murder….here’s my response:

Abortion is an absolute issue. If your mother had chosen an abortion, you ABSOLUTELY would not be here to write “I am not an absolutist”.

Ending an ordinary life whether in the womb at 6 weeks or 6 months or a person of 80 years old is murder.

On that matter of mother as murderer I agree with Ken Hahn (another commenter) who said this:

I believe the abortionist is equivalent to a hit man and the person who hires him or her as guilty is the active killer. I will work for laws that hold exactly that. You can call me all the names you’d like or justify my beliefs as anything that makes you happy. I no longer care.

I also believe that those laws that convict mothers as murderers will not happen near term because, unlike other types of murder, abortion has been so softened-over so that much of our society does not deem it wrong…as a matter of fact, it is considered a “right” by many for a mother to terminate her very own child’s life….

It is clear that for other types of murder we don’t justify the actions of the murderer in that way…that holds true especially for those who kill a 2-year old, 5-year old or 16-year old children!
It is an uphill battle, but a noble one to change abortion laws and American minds on the matter.

While Dr. Tiller was able to perform abortions, and therefore murdered thousands, his actions are abhorrent to our morality and our society. The FACT that he did it for large amounts of money is almost inexplicable and morally repugnant as another commenter alluded to.

Someone also mentioned the “freedom of conscience” rights of a woman. Sure that exists…but the right is exercised at the point of conception….you choose to have sex, you know the consequences….you see, most of this philosophical mumbo jumbo about women and abortions is a quite successful attempt at relieving women (and men) of their moral responsibilities when it comes to sex….
In an attempt to keep from calling the woman responsible, many in our society have chosen to neglect the life that has formed, snuff it out, and defend those actions —-all so the woman can her right to sex whenever she feels like it with no responsibility.

Did Tiller deserve, in a moral sense, what he got? YES. He killed thousands…
I won’t miss a man on this earth who was responsible for the death of thousands of innocents. I do grieve for his family and for the thousands he killed….

Before you call me crazy, I also believe that what Roeder did (killing Tiller) is also murder and out of the bounds of law. He should be punished to full extent of the law for what he did. He also did no favors to those of us who understand that INNOCENT life is precious at any age and he hurt our efforts in the fight to save those lives.
