Depending on the circumstances, I can’t say that I disagree that some amount of respect shown to the country you are visiting is warranted. 

However, when you contrast Obama’s robe/turban pic in Africa (for which he explained as “showing respect’) with the “no hand on the heart” pic during the National Anthem, you have to ask “Where do Obama’s loyalties lie?” and “Is this the type of respect you expect from YOUR President and Commander in Chief?”
